Esa pregunta se responde, que, as\u00ed como uno no olvida a un padre o hijo por el hecho de haber fallecido, tampoco se puede olvidar a los seis millones de hermanos exterminados por los nazis de quienes somos sus parientes adoptivos porque muchos no tienen qui\u00e9n los recuerde. Perseguir a los responsables del genocidio no es un acto de venganza, aunque la entender\u00eda, sino de justicia. Cuando un delincuente comete un crimen la sociedad lo sanciona, no por venganza, sino por justicia, porque las personas deben pagar por las consecuencias de sus actos. As\u00ed, cada vez que recordamos el Holocausto, hacemos justicia con las v\u00edctimas inocentes. Pero hay muchas otras razones m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto porque nuestros muertos merecen de nosotros cuanto menos un kadish (rezo recordatorio). El plan nazi era condenar a los muertos jud\u00edos al anonimato de las cenizas. Honrar su memoria es un acto de justicia, que permite devolverle nombre, apellido e identidad a cada una de las v\u00edctimas, y eso exige recordar.<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto porque es nuestra mejor forma de aportar a la humanidad. Si las v\u00edctimas no se recuerdan, los perpetradores no recordar\u00e1n. Son las v\u00edctimas de Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, Pinochet, Videla, Francisco Franco los que deben ser recordadas si quieren lograr justicia y prevenci\u00f3n. Si las v\u00edctimas no se recuerdan, los perpetradores olvidar\u00e1n. Es m\u00e1s, har\u00e1n todo lo posible para distorsionar, negar y hacer que otros olviden.<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto para no ver cotidiano el odio y el mal y para rechazar las comparaciones del democr\u00e1tico estado de Israel con el r\u00e9gimen nazi<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto para hacer justicia a muchos no jud\u00edos como el c\u00f3nsul\u00a0sueco en Budapest Raoul Wallenberg u Oskar Schindler\u00a0\u00a0quienes arriesgaros su comodidad de diplom\u00e1tico y comerciante y sus propias vidas para ayudar a su pr\u00f3jimo jud\u00edo en aprietos, logrando salvar decenas de miles de vidas humanas, dejando un testimonio hist\u00f3rico de lo que se puede lograr contra la adversidad cuando los principios prevalecen sobre las conveniencias.<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto para impedir que vuelva a ocurrir. Es nuestra mejor forma para decirles a los neonazis que no sue\u00f1en con un futuro nacional-socialista.<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto para que nunca m\u00e1s\u00a0se utilicen \u00abm\u00e9todos y eficiencia industrial\u00bb para la matanza masiva de poblaci\u00f3n civil indefensa. Para que nunca m\u00e1s se utilice cyclon B ni ning\u00fan otro tipo de producto para la matanza masiva. Para que nunca m\u00e1s se utilicen experimentos m\u00e9dicos sobre miles de personas vivas. Para que nunca m\u00e1s se manipule a ning\u00fan ser para que piense de una u otra determinada forma. La Siria de Assad o la Gaza de Hamas son algunos\u00a0 ejemplos actuales.<\/p>\n

Recordamos el Holocausto porque con eso le damos una raz\u00f3n para vivir a los supervivientes que reconstruyeron sus vidas, para que expresen, con total libertad, sus testimonios. En definitiva, para que formen parte de esta historia tan injusta que les ha tocado vivir.<\/p>\n
