El ej\u00e9rcito estadounidense dijo que las entregas de ayuda a Gaza comenzaron este viernes a trav\u00e9s de un muelle flotante temporal destinado a aumentar la asistencia humanitaria, inform\u00f3 The Times of Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHoy, aproximadamente a las 9 am (hora de Gaza), los camiones que transportaban ayuda humanitaria comenzaron a desembarcar a trav\u00e9s de un muelle temporal en Gaza\u201c, dijo el Comando Central de Estados Unidos (CENTCOM) en un comunicado, a\u00f1adiendo que ninguna tropa estadounidense desembarc\u00f3.<\/p>\n

\u201cEste es un esfuerzo multinacional en curso para entregar ayuda adicional a los civiles palestinos en Gaza a trav\u00e9s de un corredor mar\u00edtimo que es de naturaleza totalmente humanitaria\u201d, dijo.<\/p>\n

El muelle fue anclado con \u00e9xito el jueves y se espera que alrededor de 500 toneladas de ayuda lleguen al territorio palestino en los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

Las fotograf\u00edas publicadas el jueves por CENTCOM muestran c\u00f3mo se sube ayuda humanitaria a una barcaza en el cercano puerto israel\u00ed de Ashdod.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan organizaciones internacionales, la Franja de Gaza se enfrenta a una grave escasez de alimentos y agua potable y corre el riesgo de sufrir una hambruna en medio de la actual guerra entre Israel y Ham\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

La llegada de convoyes de ayuda se ha reducido a un m\u00ednimo desde que las fuerzas israel\u00edes tomaron el control la semana pasada del lado de Gaza del cruce de Rafah.<\/p>\n

Egipto se ha negado a coordinar la transferencia de ayuda a trav\u00e9s del cruce mientras Israel lo controle.<\/p>\n

La ONU ha dicho que abrir los puntos de cruce terrestres y permitir la entrada de m\u00e1s convoyes de camiones a Gaza es la \u00fanica manera de detener la creciente crisis humanitaria.<\/p>\n

El ej\u00e9rcito estadounidense anunci\u00f3 el jueves que hab\u00eda terminado de instalar el muelle despu\u00e9s de siete meses de intensos combates en Gaza.<\/p>\n

La construcci\u00f3n final, que se realiz\u00f3 de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana, establece un proceso de entrega complicado, m\u00e1s de dos meses despu\u00e9s de que el presidente estadounidense Joe Biden lo ordenara para ayudar a los palestinos.<\/p>\n

El jefe de ayuda de la ONU, Martin Griffiths, advirti\u00f3 el jueves que la hambruna es un riesgo inmediato en Gaza y que las reservas de alimentos se est\u00e1n agotando.<\/p>\n
