Este jueves fue publicada la declaraci\u00f3n del Jefe de las FDI, Herzi Halevi con motivo de Yom Hazikar\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLloramos a aquellos que nos han dejado, los soldados ca\u00eddos en las batallas de Israel, que cayeron defendiendo al pueblo, la tierra y el Estado\u201d, dijo Halevi en su mensaje.<\/p>\n

\u201cNos une la memoria de aquellos que han ca\u00eddo desde los d\u00edas del regreso del pueblo de Israel a su tierra despu\u00e9s de dos mil a\u00f1os de exilio, en las batallas por la defensa del Nuevo Yishuv, en la Guerra de Independencia, y a lo largo de todo las campa\u00f1as en los 76 a\u00f1os de nuestra lucha por nuestra independencia como Estado de Israel.<\/p>\n

\u201cCaminamos por los caminos que ellos forjaron para nosotros, aquellos que lucharon antes que nosotros y con nosotros. Nunca olvidaremos a nuestros camaradas, nuestros soldados y nuestros comandantes, que sacrificaron sus vidas frente al enemigo, y sus actos de valent\u00eda.<\/p>\n

\u201cSe alistaron para un servicio significativo, para asumir roles que implicaban riesgos y para soportar la carga de la responsabilidad. Caminaron por la delgada l\u00ednea entre la santidad de la vida y la devoci\u00f3n que lo abarca todo, como si el destino de toda la batalla dependiera \u00fanicamente de ellos.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo eligieron morir, pero estaban dispuestos a hacer lo correcto, incluso a costa de sus vidas\u201d, abri\u00f3 el jefe de las FDI.<\/p>\n

Refiri\u00e9ndose a la situaci\u00f3n actual, afirm\u00f3: \u201cEl D\u00eda en Memoria de los Soldados Ca\u00eddos de Israel y las V\u00edctimas de Actos Hostiles se celebra este a\u00f1o a la sombra de la guerra.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa Guerra \u2018Espadas de Hierro\u2019 nos fue impuesta debido a un ataque sorpresa y asesino desde el sur, y a\u00fan contin\u00faa en muchos frentes. Nos ha costado mucha sangre.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa naci\u00f3n todav\u00eda est\u00e1 de luto por la muerte de civiles asesinados en sus hogares, nuestros colegas, miembros de las fuerzas de seguridad y rescate y los ca\u00eddos de las FDI, que cayeron en el cumplimiento de su deber el d\u00eda que estall\u00f3 la guerra y en las batallas que han ocurrido desde entonces.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecordaremos a los ca\u00eddos tal como fueron en sus vidas, lo que lograron, sus sue\u00f1os y sus aspiraciones y hechos inconclusos.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecordaremos sus \u00faltimos momentos de valent\u00eda, las elecciones morales y las valientes decisiones que tomaron para cumplir su juramento de ser un escudo para su pueblo. Recordamos a los que cayeron en la batalla y a los que se perdieron en el entrenamiento, los accidentes y las enfermedades o en angustia mental.\u201d<\/p>\n

Halevi a\u00f1adi\u00f3: \u201cHoy volvemos a estar junto a las familias afligidas en los cementerios. La camarader\u00eda de las armas con los ca\u00eddos conducir\u00e1 a una fuerte conexi\u00f3n con las familias.<\/p>\n

\u201cEn el camino compartido con los padres, las hijas y los hijos, los hermanos, los c\u00f3nyuges. A algunos de los cuales hemos acompa\u00f1ado durante muchos a\u00f1os, y muchos de ellos recientemente en duelo.<\/p>\n

\u201cA la sombra de las batallas, no siempre pudimos acompa\u00f1ar a sus seres queridos al descanso eterno, y muchos de ellos fueron llorados por sus amigos y comandantes en medio de la niebla de la guerra. Continuaremos apoyando a las familias, fortaleciendo a los heridos en cuerpo y alma y cumplir nuestro juramento de traer a casa a los rehenes y a los desaparecidos\u201d.<\/p>\n

Concluy\u00f3: \u201cLa memoria de todos los ca\u00eddos est\u00e1 grabada en nuestros corazones para siempre, y nuestra obligaci\u00f3n para con todos es una: ser escudo para nuestro pueblo en su tierra y refugio para el pueblo jud\u00edo contra cualquier enemigo que act\u00fae contra nosotros de cerca y de lejos.<\/p>\n

\u201cEn tiempos de guerra, su legado nos fortalece para hacer todo lo que est\u00e9 a nuestro alcance y capacidad para garantizar la paz y la seguridad de los ciudadanos del pa\u00eds.
