Las FDI presentaron al gabinete de guerra su plan para la evacuaci\u00f3n de civiles palestinos de posibles zonas de combate en la ciudad de Rafah, en el extremo sur de Gaza, y su estrategia operativa futura, inform\u00f3 The Times of Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los gobiernos extranjeros y las organizaciones de ayuda han expresado repetidamente su temor de que una operaci\u00f3n terrestre en Rafah provocar\u00eda v\u00edctimas civiles en masa.<\/p>\n

M\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de palestinos (la mayor\u00eda de ellos desplazados de otros lugares) se han reunido en la \u00faltima ciudad de Gaza que no ha sido afectada por la ofensiva terrestre de Israel contra Ham\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n es el punto de entrada de la ayuda que se necesita desesperadamente y que llega a trav\u00e9s del vecino Egipto.<\/p>\n

El ej\u00e9rcito \u201cpresent\u00f3 al gabinete de guerra un plan para evacuar a la poblaci\u00f3n de las zonas de combate en la Franja de Gaza, junto con el pr\u00f3ximo plan operativo\u201d, dijo la Oficina en un comunicado.<\/p>\n

El comunicado no dio ning\u00fan detalle sobre c\u00f3mo o d\u00f3nde ser\u00edan trasladados los civiles.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, la Oficina dijo que el gabinete aprob\u00f3 la provisi\u00f3n de ayuda humanitaria al sur de Gaza \u201cde manera que impida el saqueo que ocurri\u00f3 en el norte de la Franja de Gaza y otras \u00e1reas\u201d.<\/p>\n

El gabinete de guerra de tres miembros est\u00e1 formado por Netanyahu, el ministro de Defensa, Yoav Gallant, y el ministro Benny Gantz, junto con varios observadores.<\/p>\n

Israel sigue adelante con sus planes para una ofensiva militar en Rafah, el \u00faltimo basti\u00f3n de Ham\u00e1s en Gaza y tambi\u00e9n donde m\u00e1s de la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n del territorio, de 2,3 millones de habitantes, ha buscado refugio.<\/p>\n

Los grupos humanitarios advierten sobre una cat\u00e1strofe y Estados Unidos y otros aliados han dicho que Israel debe evitar da\u00f1ar a los civiles.<\/p>\n

Bajo presi\u00f3n estadounidense, los l\u00edderes pol\u00edticos y militares de Israel han dicho que la operaci\u00f3n no comenzar\u00e1 hasta que se haya garantizado la seguridad de los no combatientes.<\/p>\n

Frente a la superpoblada Rafah, el vecino Egipto ha mantenido su frontera cerrada, diciendo que no ayudar\u00e1 a facilitar ninguna operaci\u00f3n para expulsar a los palestinos de Gaza.<\/p>\n

Existe por el momento la esperanza de que se pueda asegurar una tregua temporal y un intercambio de rehenes y prisioneros antes del inicio del Ramad\u00e1n el 10 u 11 de marzo, dependiendo del calendario lunar.<\/p>\n

Reportes este fin de semana indicaron que los mediadores estaban logrando avances en un acuerdo para un alto el fuego temporal y la liberaci\u00f3n de decenas de rehenes cautivos en Gaza a cambio de prisioneros de seguridad palestinos retenidos por Israel.<\/p>\n

Varios medios de comunicaci\u00f3n israel\u00edes dijeron que el gabinete de guerra lo aprob\u00f3 t\u00e1citamente.<\/p>\n

Dentro de Israel, ha aumentado la presi\u00f3n sobre Netanyahu por parte de las familias de los rehenes que exigen una acci\u00f3n m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida y se han reiniciado las protestas antigubernamentales.<\/p>\n
