Un soldado israel\u00ed muri\u00f3 este martes tras recibir un disparo en la ciudad de Jenin, en Judea y Samaria, poco antes de que las fuerzas israel\u00edes comenzaran a retirarse del \u00e1rea luego de dos d\u00edas de actividad contraterrorista, inform\u00f3 The Times of Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Yehuda Yitzchak, un combatiente permanente de Nut Patrol del asentamiento de Beit El, fue asesinado anoche (martes) durante una actividad operativa en Jenin como parte de la Operaci\u00f3n ‘Hogar y Jard\u00edn’.<\/p>\n

El soldado fue llevado a un hospital en estado cr\u00edtico para recibir tratamiento m\u00e9dico, pero all\u00ed fue declarado muerto<\/p>\n

Su familia fue notificada.<\/p>\n

Las FDI no dieron detalles de inmediato sobre las circunstancias del incidente, o si el soldado fue alcanzado por disparos palestinos o por un incidente de \u201cfuego amigo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Hubo otros enfrentamientos espor\u00e1dicos entre pistoleros palestinos y tropas israel\u00edes cuando estas \u00faltimas abandonaron lentamente Jenin este d\u00eda. La retirada a\u00fan est\u00e1 en curso.<\/p>\n

Las FDI dijeron que llevaron a cabo un ataque a\u00e9reo contra palestinos armados estacionados en un cementerio en las afueras de Jenin, quienes \u201crepresentaban una amenaza para las fuerzas de seguridad cuando sal\u00edan del campo de refugiados\u201d.<\/p>\n

Los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n palestinos informaron de varias v\u00edctimas en el ataque. Sus condiciones no se conocieron de inmediato.<\/p>\n

Israel lanz\u00f3 la operaci\u00f3n principal el lunes por la ma\u00f1ana para acabar con lo que dice es un semillero de terrorismo en la ciudad.<\/p>\n

Los palestinos del \u00e1rea han llevado a cabo una serie de ataques contra israel\u00edes en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, y se cree que la Autoridad Palestina tiene poco control sobre el terreno.<\/p>\n

La operaci\u00f3n se ha centrado en un ala local del grupo terrorista Yihad Isl\u00e1mica Palestina conocido como el Batall\u00f3n de Jenin, as\u00ed como en otros grupos armados m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os en la ciudad y el campo de refugiados.<\/p>\n

Funcionarios de salud palestinos dijeron que 12 palestinos murieron y al menos otras 100 resultaron heridas, incluidas 20 en estado grave, durante los ataques a\u00e9reos israel\u00edes y en enfrentamientos con las fuerzas israel\u00edes.<\/p>\n

A lo largo de la campa\u00f1a, dijeron las FDI, las tropas ubicaron y demolieron al menos ocho sitios de almacenamiento de armas, seis laboratorios de explosivos con cientos de dispositivos activados, tres salas de guerra utilizadas por terroristas palestinos para observar a las fuerzas israel\u00edes e \u201cinfraestructura terrorista\u201d.<\/p>\n

Las FDI dijeron que tambi\u00e9n incautaron 24 rifles de asalto, 8 pistolas y docenas de balas.<\/p>\n
