El parlamento de Azerbaiy\u00e1n inici\u00f3 el viernes el proceso de apertura de una embajada en Israel, convirti\u00e9ndose en el primer pa\u00eds de mayor\u00eda musulmana chi\u00edta en hacerlo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAzerbaiy\u00e1n es un socio importante de Israel y el hogar de una de las comunidades jud\u00edas m\u00e1s grandes del mundo musulm\u00e1n\u201d, dijo el primer ministro Yair Lapid en un comunicado. \u201cLa decisi\u00f3n de abrir una embajada refleja la profundidad de la relaci\u00f3n entre nuestros pa\u00edses. Este movimiento es el resultado de los esfuerzos del gobierno israel\u00ed para construir fuertes puentes diplom\u00e1ticos con el mundo musulm\u00e1n\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n

El pasado abril, Azerbaiy\u00e1n abri\u00f3 por primera vez una oficina de turismo en Israel y firm\u00f3 un acuerdo de cooperaci\u00f3n. El mes tambi\u00e9n marc\u00f3 el 30 aniversario del establecimiento de relaciones diplom\u00e1ticas entre las dos naciones.<\/span><\/p>\n
