Seg\u00fan las FDI y la Polic\u00eda de Israel, las tropas y los oficiales vieron a un hombre sospechoso cerca de la frontera en el norte del Valle del Jord\u00e1n, antes de que despegara en un veh\u00edculo.<\/p>\n

Tras una persecuci\u00f3n policial cerca de la aldea palestina de Bardala, el autom\u00f3vil fue detenido y el hombre fue arrestado junto con otro hombre sospechoso de ayudar en el intento de contrabando. En el veh\u00edculo se encontraron dos bolsas que conten\u00edan 25 armas, dijo la polic\u00eda.<\/p>\n

La polic\u00eda dijo que la pareja, ambos palestinos de Judea y Samaria, comparecer\u00e1n ante el tribunal el martes para una audiencia preventiva.<\/p>\n

En agosto, las FDI dijeron que hab\u00eda habido un \u201caumento significativo\u201d en los intentos de contrabando de armas a Israel y Judea y Samaria desde Jordania, contando m\u00e1s de 300 armas incautadas desde principios de a\u00f1o. En 2020 y 2021 combinados, se incautaron 300 armas de fuego a lo largo de la frontera oriental, dijo el Ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Autoridades han indicado que las armas de contrabando desde Jordania a menudo se venden a \u00e1rabes israel\u00edes y palestinos, tanto con fines delictivos como terroristas.<\/p>\n

El Ej\u00e9rcito y la Polic\u00eda han intensificado los esfuerzos para detener los intentos de contrabando a lo largo de la frontera jordana durante el a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n
