La empresa de exploraci\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n de hidrocarburos brit\u00e1nico-griega Energean plc anunci\u00f3 el mi\u00e9rcoles que hab\u00eda comenzado a extraer gas natural de la plataforma de gas Karish frente a la costa norte de Israel, un d\u00eda antes de que los l\u00edderes israel\u00edes y libaneses firmen un acuerdo con la mediaci\u00f3n de Estados Unidos que demarca la frontera mar\u00edtima entre los dos estados enemigos.<\/span><\/p>\n

En un comunicado, Energean dijo que el desarrollo es un hito significativo en la promoci\u00f3n de una visi\u00f3n de un mercado de gas israel\u00ed competitivo y en el aumento de la seguridad e independencia energ\u00e9tica del pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p>\n

El jueves, el primer ministro Yair Lapid firmar\u00e1 el acuerdo con la mediaci\u00f3n del enviado de energ\u00eda de EE. UU.
