Una gran cosecha de etrogs toma una ruta m\u00e1s directa a Israel este a\u00f1o, gracias a una confluencia hist\u00f3rica de geopol\u00edtica y observancia religiosa. Alguna vez hogar de la comunidad jud\u00eda m\u00e1s grande del mundo \u00e1rabe, Marruecos tiene una larga historia de producci\u00f3n de c\u00edtricos utilizados por millones de jud\u00edos cada Sucot.<\/p>\n

El a\u00f1o jud\u00edo pasado que termin\u00f3 con Rosh Hashan\u00e1 fue un a\u00f1o shmita, lo que significa que no se cultivaron etrogs en Israel para el festival de Sucot de este a\u00f1o, que comenz\u00f3 el domingo por la noche.
