Israel ha aceptado casi 60.000 nuevos inmigrantes durante el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o jud\u00edo, el n\u00famero m\u00e1s alto en 20 a\u00f1os, impulsado principalmente por la afluencia de rusos y ucranianos que buscan refugio de la guerra entre los dos pa\u00edses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Durante el a\u00f1o 5782 del calendario jud\u00edo, un total de 26.000 olim (palabra hebrea para nuevos inmigrantes) fueron absorbidos desde Rusia y 14.000 de Ucrania cuando el primero invadi\u00f3 al segundo el\u00a0 pasado 24 de febrero, seg\u00fan datos publicados por la Agencia Jud\u00eda en la v\u00edspera de Rosh Hashan\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n

Durante el per\u00edodo comprendido entre el 1 de septiembre de 2021 y el 1 de septiembre de 2022, se recibieron inmigrantes de 93 pa\u00edses. Un total de 3.800 inmigrantes llegaron de Estados Unidos y Canad\u00e1; 2.500 de Francia; 1.600 de Bielorrusia; 1.450 de Etiop\u00eda; 1.100 de Argentina; 600 del Reino Unido; 500 de Sud\u00e1frica y 400 de Brasil, seg\u00fan los datos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Se espera que los cerca de 9,6 millones de personas que residen actualmente en Israel superen los 10 millones de personas para fines de 2024, los 15 millones de personas para fines de 2048 y m\u00e1s del doble a 20 millones de residentes para fines de 2065, la Oficina Central de Estad\u00edsticas. Otros 442.000 jud\u00edos viven en Francia, 394.000 en Canad\u00e1 y 292.000 en Gran Breta\u00f1a. Otros 145.000 jud\u00edos residen en Rusia y 40.000 en Ucrania, mientras que Alemania alberga a 118.000 jud\u00edos.
