Los hermanos gemelos que se alistar\u00e1n en una unidad de \u00e9lite de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel se encuentran entre los 48 nuevos inmigrantes a Israel de toda Am\u00e9rica del Norte que aterrizaron en el Aeropuerto Internacional Ben-Gurion la semana pasada en un vuelo de El Al Airlines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Los dos llegaron a Israel con la ayuda de Nefesh B’Nefesh, que celebra su vig\u00e9simo aniversario este verano, y en cooperaci\u00f3n con el Ministerio de Aliyah e Integraci\u00f3n, la Agencia Jud\u00eda para Israel, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael y JNF-USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Al hacer aliy\u00e1, Ari y Ron, de 18 a\u00f1os, deben servir en las FDI. Ser\u00e1n reclutados en la unidad de comando marino \u201cShayetet 13\u201d de la Brigada Naval y contar\u00e1n con el apoyo del programa FIDF-Nefesh B’Nefesh Lone Soldiers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Los hermanos, que recientemente se graduaron de la escuela secundaria, nacieron en Nueva York de padres israel\u00edes. Como nadador profesional, Ari ocup\u00f3 el d\u00e9cimo lugar en los Estados Unidos en nataci\u00f3n mariposa y rompi\u00f3 un r\u00e9cord mundial en el entrenamiento CrossFit \u00abMurph\u00bb. Durante cuatro a\u00f1os, Ron form\u00f3 parte de un equipo de remo que estaba clasificado entre los 10 mejores equipos de Nueva York.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTambi\u00e9n tenemos una hermana que actualmente estudia medicina en Israel. Nuestros padres sirvieron en el ej\u00e9rcito. Nuestro padre era soldado y oficial en una de las unidades de comando de las FDI, pero comparti\u00f3 con nosotros que su sue\u00f1o original era ser reclutado en Shayetet 13\u201d, dijeron. \u201cDespu\u00e9s de examinar todas las opciones que nos dieron, decidimos que la Marina es donde queremos estar y queremos alcanzar el nivel m\u00e1s alto posible: Shayetet 13\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
