El primer ministro interino de Israel, Yair Lapid declar\u00f3 hoy durante su primera reuni\u00f3n del gabinete desde que asumi\u00f3 el cargo la semana pasada que el objetivo del gobierno es actuar como si no hubiera elecciones, inform\u00f3 The Times of Israel.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cNuestro objetivo, el de toda esta mesa del gabinete, en los pr\u00f3ximos meses ser\u00e1 gobernar como si no se celebraran elecciones. Los ciudadanos de Israel tienen derecho a un gobierno que funcione en todo momento. Esto es lo que espero de mis colegas ministros\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Lapid destac\u00f3 los retrasos en el presupuesto de los hospitales, la actual disputa por los salarios de los maestros y las amenazas a la seguridad entre los asuntos que tendr\u00e1n que abordarse durante su mandato.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa crisis en el sistema de educaci\u00f3n no puede esperar. La financiaci\u00f3n de los hospitales no se puede posponer. Ir\u00e1n, Ham\u00e1s y Hezbol\u00e1 no esperar\u00e1n. Debemos contrarrestarlos en todos los \u00e1mbitos, en cualquier momento y eso es exactamente lo que estamos haciendo\u201d, manifest\u00f3 Lapid.<\/p>\n

\u201cHezbol\u00e1 contin\u00faa en la senda del terrorismo y socava la capacidad del L\u00edbano para alcanzar un acuerdo sobre la frontera mar\u00edtima. Israel continuar\u00e1 defendi\u00e9ndose a s\u00ed mismo, a sus ciudadanos y los bienes del pa\u00eds\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Lapid en referencia al derribo de tres aviones no tripulados de Hezbol\u00e1 por las FDI sobre el mar Mediterr\u00e1neo que se dirig\u00edan a la plataforma gas natural Karish.<\/p>\n

\u201cEste gobierno continuar\u00e1 trabajando en beneficio de los ciudadanos, tal y como lo ha hecho todo este a\u00f1o. Tomaremos decisiones, aplicaremos medidas y seguiremos reforzando el poder econ\u00f3mico, pol\u00edtico y de seguridad del Estado de Israel\u201d, apunt\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Este domingo, Lapid mantendr\u00e1 reuniones individuales con los ministros del gabinete, empezando por los ministros de Defensa y Salud. Asimismo, abordar\u00e1 la pandemia de COVID-19 y el aumento del contagio por la variante \u00d3micron.<\/p>\n

Esta semana viajar\u00e1 a Par\u00eds para reunirse con el presidente franc\u00e9s, Emmanuel Macron y recibir\u00e1 al presidente de EE.UU., Joe Biden en su visita a Israel prevista para el 13 de julio.<\/p>\n

A diferencia de su predecesor, Lapid insisti\u00f3 en residir en Jerusal\u00e9n por su importancia simb\u00f3lica como capital, a pesar de que la residencia oficial del Primer Ministro est\u00e1 en obras.<\/p>\n

\u00c9l y su esposa, Lihi Lapid, se instalaron en un anexo de tres habitaciones del recinto oficial que anteriormente hab\u00eda albergado al cuerpo de seguridad del primer ministro.<\/p>\n

Las pr\u00f3ximas elecciones, al igual que las cuatro anteriores, ser\u00e1n probablemente un refer\u00e9ndum sobre la aptitud del exprimer ministro Benjam\u00edn Netanyahu para dirigir el pa\u00eds mientras est\u00e1 siendo juzgado por cargos de corrupci\u00f3n.
