El secretario de Estado norteamericano, Antony Blinken, dialog\u00f3 telef\u00f3nicamente con el primer ministro saliente, Naftal\u00ed Bennett, seg\u00fan un comunicado de la Oficina del Primer Ministro.<\/p>\n

Blinken agradeci\u00f3 a Bennett por \u201ccontribuir a fortalecer los lazos entre Estados Unidos e Israel\u201d durante su gesti\u00f3n al frente del Gobierno de Jerusal\u00e9n y \u201cexpres\u00f3 su aprecio por su liderazgo y habilidad pol\u00edtica durante su mandato\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bennett, por su parte, agradeci\u00f3 a Blinken por su \u201camistad y asociaci\u00f3n demostrada durante el trabajo conjunto\u201d.<\/p>\n

Los dos dirigentes discutieron la amenaza que representa Ir\u00e1n y acordaron que el trabajo sobre la cuesti\u00f3n iran\u00ed continuar\u00e1.<\/p>\n

Bennett destac\u00f3 que las relaciones entre Israel y Estados Unidos deben continuar y que los v\u00ednculos entre ambos pa\u00edses trascienden la pol\u00edtica interna de ambas naciones.<\/p>\n

Bennett y el ministro de Exteriores, Yair Lapid, anunciaron la disoluci\u00f3n del Gobierno formado hace algo m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o. Hoy, mi\u00e9rcoles, se votar\u00e1 en la c\u00e1mara legislativa la disoluci\u00f3n de la vig\u00e9simo cuarta Kn\u00e9set (Parlamento), lo que desatar\u00e1 autom\u00e1ticamente el adelantamiento de las elecciones.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe hablado [con Bennett] sobre la disoluci\u00f3n de la Kn\u00e9set, subrayando nuestro respeto por el proceso democr\u00e1tico, nuestro firme compromiso con la fuerte relaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica con Israel, y nuestra mutua preocupaci\u00f3n por la influencia maligna de Ir\u00e1n en la regi\u00f3n\u201d, apunt\u00f3 Blinken en un comunicado.<\/p>\n

El vocero del Departamento de Estado, Ned Price, expres\u00f3 en un comunicado que Blinken \u201cenfatiz\u00f3 que espera continuar con nuestra \u00edntima coordinaci\u00f3n en los asuntos regionales y globales\u201d y que el presidente estadounidense, Joe Biden, espera visitar Israel el mes pr\u00f3ximo. Washington confirm\u00f3 que Biden seguir\u00e1 adelante con su gira por Israel y otros pa\u00edses del Oriente Medio a pesar la crisis pol\u00edtica en el Estado jud\u00edo.<\/p>\n
