Dos oficiales de la unidad de comando \u201cEgoz\u201d de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) murieron anoche por el \u201cfuego amigo\u201d a ra\u00edz de un error de identificaci\u00f3n, anunci\u00f3 el portavoz militar.<\/p>\n

El hecho tuvo lugar tras finalizar un ejercicio en la base conocida como \u201cNabi Musa\u201d, al norte del Mar Muerto, en el Valle del Jord\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

\u201cLos oficiales fueron muertos tras un error de identificaci\u00f3n que condujo al \u2018fuego amigo\u2019\u201d, apunt\u00f3 el vocero castrense.<\/p>\n

El jefe del Estado Mayor, teniente general Aviv Kochavi, arrib\u00f3 a la escena del incidente para indagar por s\u00ed mismo sobre las causas del incidente. Las FDI abrieron una investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Una investigaci\u00f3n preliminar sugiere que los dos oficiales salieron a patrullar alrededor de la base cuando detectaron una figura sospechosa e iniciaron el procedimiento regular de arresto que finaliza con tiros al aire de advertencia. Un tercer combatiente de la unidad crey\u00f3 que se trataba de un atentado y que le estaban disparando, por lo que abri\u00f3 fuego contra los dos oficiales.<\/p>\n

El portavoz militar, general de brigada Ran Kochav, manifest\u00f3 a la radio estatal Kan que se trata de \u201cuna p\u00e9rdida dolorosa\u201d. Kochav agreg\u00f3:\u00bb Cada pocos a\u00f1os, un incidente de este tipo ocurre por accidente. Cuando se trata de combatientes y oficiales de una unidad de \u00e9lite, duele siete veces m\u00e1s.
