Se registr\u00f3 en Israel el primer caso de coronavirus con la mutaci\u00f3n de la variante Delta AY.4.2. Se trata de un ni\u00f1o de 11 a\u00f1os que ingres\u00f3 al pa\u00eds desde Moldavia. Tras su llegada, fue enviado a aislamiento de forma inmediata.<\/p>\n

La AY.4.2 est\u00e1 siendo seguida de cerca por funcionarios en el Reino Unido, donde su frecuencia viene aumentando exponencialmente. A poco de ser descubierta, se estima que al d\u00eda de hoy representa el 10% de los casos de coronavirus en el lugar. Sin embargo, no hay pruebas por el momento de que est\u00e9 impulsando un aumento en los casos totales de COVID-19.<\/p>\n

El portavoz del primer ministro brit\u00e1nico, Boris Johnson, dijo que el Gobierno estaba \u00abatento\u00bb a la variante AY.4.2, pero expres\u00f3 que no hab\u00eda evidencia de que se propague m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente.<\/p>\n

Desde el Ministerio de Salud de Israel manifestaron su preocupaci\u00f3n por la nueva cepa, inform\u00f3 el sitio de noticias Walla. El Gobierno se mantiene en alerta con esta nueva variante, ya que se teme que pueda revertir los n\u00fameros de infecci\u00f3n que se desvanecen luego de la \u00faltima ola que dur\u00f3 varios meses.<\/p>\n

En el d\u00eda de ayer se registraron 1.243 casos nuevos de coronavirus en todo el pa\u00eds, y la cifra de muertos desde el comienzo de la pandemia super\u00f3 los 8.000.<\/p>\n
