El enorme incendio forestal desatado en las monta\u00f1as de Jerusal\u00e9n continuaba expandi\u00e9ndose en la ma\u00f1ana de hoy, lunes, en las afueras de la capital; pero los barrios residenciales ya no est\u00e1n en peligro, aseguraron los servicios de rescate.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Los bomberos han logrado mantener las llamas bajo control y siguen combatiendo el siniestro considerado el m\u00e1s grande en la zona en a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

El jefe del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Jerusal\u00e9n, Shlomo Ben Yair, le dijo a Galei Tz\u00e1hal (Radio del Ej\u00e9rcito) que: \u201cA\u00fan hay cinco frentes activos, pero los habitantes no est\u00e1n en peligro por el momento\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstamos focalizando el esfuerzo en ayudar a los servicios de emergencias y las familias evacuadas de sus hogares\u201d, explic\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Se calcula que cerca de 1.700 hect\u00e1reas han sido devastadas por las llamas.<\/p>\n

Al menos 10 mil personas fueron evacuadas de seis localidades situadas en los alrededores de Jerusal\u00e9n: Beit Meir, Ramat Raziel, Shoresh, Ksalon, Shoresh, Shoeva y Givat Yearim.<\/p>\n

Las autoridades permitieron a los habitantes de Shoresh y Shoeva regresar a sus hogares durante la noche. El jefe de la Polic\u00eda, Doron Turgeman, le dijo a la radio estatal Kan, que los residentes de las otras comunidades podr\u00e1n volver a sus viviendas en las pr\u00f3ximas horas.<\/p>\n
