La atleta Hanna Knyazyeva-Minenko y el nadador Yakov Toumarkin fueron los encargados de llevar la bandera de Israel en la apertura de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos. Detr\u00e1s de ellos, tambi\u00e9n desfilaron los 87 deportistas restantes que representar\u00e1n al pa\u00eds en Tokio 2020.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Knyazyeva-Minenko naci\u00f3 en Ucrania hace 31 a\u00f1os, pero se nacionaliz\u00f3 israel\u00ed en 2013 luego de radicarse en el pa\u00eds. Ser\u00e1n los terceros Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos para la experta en salto triple y salto en largo, y los segundos representando a Israel tras R\u00edo de Janeiro 2016.<\/p>\n

Miembro del club Maccabi Tel Aviv, se inici\u00f3 en el atletismo con ocho a\u00f1os, y logr\u00f3 cinco podios entre 2013 y 2016 para Israel. Su mejor actuaci\u00f3n fue el oro en los Juegos Europeos de Bak\u00fa en 2015.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Toumarkin naci\u00f3 en 1992 en Rusia y ya particip\u00f3 en las \u00faltimas dos citas ol\u00edmpicas, Londres 2012 y R\u00edo de Janeiro 2016. Especialista en estilo espalda, en 100 y 200 metros, el israel\u00ed qued\u00f3 7\u00b0 y 24\u00b0 en Inglaterra, y qued\u00f3 15\u00b0 y 27\u00b0 en Brasil.<\/p>\n

De cara a sus terceros JJ.OO., el oriundo de Cheli\u00e1binsk sali\u00f3 campe\u00f3n europeo juvenil en Helsinki 2010 en 100 metros espalda. A su vez, tambi\u00e9n se llev\u00f3 el oro en los Juegos Macabeos de 2017, como local, en 200 metros.<\/p>\n

Para la pr\u00f3xima cita ol\u00edmpica, se destacan el debut del b\u00e9isbol (jueves 29, 13:00 hora de Israel, ante Corea del Sur), la lucha del judoca Sagi Muki (martes 27, hora a definir, contra el brasilero Eduardo Santos) y el combate de su colega Orin Sasson (viernes 30, 13:00, con rival a confirmar).<\/p>\n
