Una operaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica compleja y altamente sofisticada realizada recientemente en el campus de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica de Rambam en Haifa salv\u00f3 la vida de Madchat Tapash, un ni\u00f1o de siete a\u00f1os de la Franja de Gaza.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tapash naci\u00f3 con un defecto en su sistema renal que provoc\u00f3 una insuficiencia renal potencialmente mortal y una vejiga que no funcionaba correctamente, lo que requiri\u00f3 un equipo multidisciplinario de especialistas para reparar el da\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n

La operaci\u00f3n consisti\u00f3 en tres cirug\u00edas diferentes realizadas casi simult\u00e1neamente, en las que se reconstruy\u00f3 la vejiga del ni\u00f1o, se extrajo un ri\u00f1\u00f3n donado por su madre de su cuerpo y se implant\u00f3 en su cuerpo, y finalmente, el nuevo ri\u00f1\u00f3n de Madchat se conect\u00f3 con \u00e9xito a su vejiga reconstruida.<\/span><\/p>\n

Durante los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os y medio, Madchat se ha sometido a un tratamiento de di\u00e1lisis. Debido a su grave condici\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, no pudo recibir la atenci\u00f3n que necesitaba a trav\u00e9s del sistema de salud de la Autoridad Palestina y Yazid Falah, Coordinador de Salud para pacientes de la Autoridad Palestina, lo transfiri\u00f3 al hospital israel\u00ed Rambam.<\/span><\/p>\n

La Asociaci\u00f3n \u00abThink About Others\u00bb recaud\u00f3 fondos para ayudar a pagar la cirug\u00eda del ni\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rambam reuni\u00f3 a un equipo multidisciplinario grande y altamente calificado de varios departamentos del hospital para realizar la operaci\u00f3n. Especialistas m\u00e9dicos de la Cl\u00ednica de Urolog\u00eda Pedi\u00e1trica, bajo la direcci\u00f3n del Dr. Akram Assadi, y del Instituto de Nefrolog\u00eda Pedi\u00e1trica, junto con cirujanos, especialistas en implantes renales, hemat\u00f3logos, radi\u00f3logos, anestesi\u00f3logos y farmac\u00e9uticos trabajaron para crear un plan operativo para salvar la vida del ni\u00f1o. El profesor Pinhas Livneh, ex director de Urolog\u00eda Pedi\u00e1trica en Rambam, brind\u00f3 asesoramiento y orientaci\u00f3n de expertos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sumar, la madre de Madchat, que tiene otros cuatro hijos, se ofreci\u00f3 a donar su ri\u00f1\u00f3n a su hijo y se descubri\u00f3 que era compatible. \u201cLe habr\u00eda dado mi alma, mis ojos y morir\u00eda para que \u00e9l pudiera vivir, cualquier cosa para detener su sufrimiento\u201d, dijo Sumar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Madchat ya se hab\u00eda sometido a 15 cirug\u00edas y decenas de procedimientos.<\/span><\/p>\n

La cirug\u00eda dur\u00f3 aproximadamente 11 horas.<\/span><\/p>\n
