Januc\u00e1 es una de las fiestas m\u00e1s alegres del calendario hebreo. Durante ocho noches encendemos velas, se comen sabrosos pasteles fritos (sufganiot), los ni\u00f1os juegan (sebib\u00f3n) y reciben regalos.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Pero \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 tanto festejo?<\/p>\n

Porque hace mas de 2,000 a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s ocurri\u00f3 un gran milagro: el aceite de la Menor\u00e1, el candelabro del gran Templo de Jerusalem, que ten\u00eda que alcanzar para mantener encendidas las velas un solo d\u00eda, fue suficiente para que las velas se mantuvieran encendidas por 8 d\u00edas.
\nTodo esto es muy conocido. Pero es solo una muy peque\u00f1a parte de la historia de Januc\u00e1. El significado de esta fiesta es muy profundo y se relaciona con la lucha por la libertad religiosa y la supervivencia de nuestra Tor\u00e1 en un momento en el que el juda\u00edsmo estuvo a punto de desaparecer.<\/p>\n

Esta parte de la historia de Januc\u00e1 es, incre\u00edblemente, no muy conocida. No se habla mucho de la heroica rebeli\u00f3n armada de Matitiyahu y sus hijos, sus triunfos, sus derrotas, y todos los milagros que nuestro pueblo experiment\u00f3 en esos tiempos tan dif\u00edciles.<\/p>\n

La historia de Januc\u00e1 es una combinaci\u00f3n del hero\u00edsmo jud\u00edo, la voluntad de sacrificarlo todo por preservar nuestra Tor\u00e1 y la permanente intervenci\u00f3n Divina que acompa\u00f1\u00f3 a nuestros antepasados en cada batalla.<\/p>\n

En estos pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas quisiera contarles una versi\u00f3n un poco m\u00e1s completa de la historia de Januc\u00e1. Y se me ocurri\u00f3 dividir este relato en 8 cap\u00edtulos y mencionar 8 milagros que debemos tener presente en Januc\u00e1 para celebrar la fiesta de Januc\u00e1 con mucha alegr\u00eda. Para sentirnos muy orgullosos de nuestros heroicos antepasados. Y para que nuestro coraz\u00f3n se llene de una inmensa gratitud al Todopoderoso por todo lo que ha hecho y hace por nosotros.<\/p>\n
