Discurso completo del primer ministro, Benjamin Netanyahu, ante la ONU<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSr. presidente, se\u00f1oras y se\u00f1ores:<\/p>\n

Oriente Medio no es precisamente conocido por producir buenas noticias y pocos esperaban que este a\u00f1o fuera diferente. Ustedes saben, la pandemia est\u00e1 devastando nuestra parte del mundo como en cualquier otro lugar.<\/p>\n

Pero me complace informarles que este a\u00f1o puedo contarles las buenas noticias del Medio Oriente. De hecho, puedo informarles de dos buenas noticias.<\/p>\n

A principios de este mes, en una ceremonia en la Casa Blanca organizada por el presidente Trump, Israel firm\u00f3 acuerdos hist\u00f3ricos con los Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos y el Reino de Bahr\u00e9in.<\/p>\n

Este fue el primer tratado de paz entre Israel y un pa\u00eds \u00e1rabe en m\u00e1s de un cuarto de siglo. Y fue la primera vez que se firmaron acuerdos de paz entre Israel y dos pa\u00edses \u00e1rabes el mismo d\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Estos nuevos acuerdos traer\u00e1n a nuestros pueblos las bendiciones de la paz y los enormes beneficios que vienen con m\u00e1s comercio, m\u00e1s inversi\u00f3n, m\u00e1s comercio, transporte, turismo, mayor cooperaci\u00f3n en tantas otras \u00e1reas.<\/p>\n

Tampoco tengo ninguna duda de que m\u00e1s pa\u00edses \u00e1rabes y musulmanes se unir\u00e1n al c\u00edrculo de la paz, pronto, muy pronto.<\/p>\n

Esta buena noticia sobre la paz surgi\u00f3 debido a una clara ruptura con las estrategias fallidas del pasado.<\/p>\n

Durante demasiado tiempo, los palestinos ejercieron un veto sobre la paz entre Israel y el mundo \u00e1rabe en general.<\/p>\n

Durante d\u00e9cadas, todo progreso se detuvo y fue reh\u00e9n de demandas palestinas completamente irreales, tales como la demanda de que Israel se retirara a las l\u00edneas indefendibles de 1967 y pusiera su seguridad en manos de otros; o la exigencia de que Israel expulse a decenas de miles de jud\u00edos de sus hogares, cometiendo efectivamente una limpieza \u00e9tnica; o la exigencia de que Israel absorba a millones de palestinos descendientes de refugiados de una guerra que los palestinos lanzaron contra Israel hace m\u00e1s de medio siglo.<\/p>\n

Por supuesto, estas demandas, junto con muchas otras, carecen completamente de sentido para cualquier gobierno israel\u00ed responsable. Sin embargo, durante a\u00f1os, muchos en la comunidad internacional han tratado de apaciguar estas absurdas demandas palestinas y, como resultado, han perdido el tiempo para tratar de hacer avanzar una ilusi\u00f3n que no suceder\u00e1, en lugar de trabajar por una soluci\u00f3n realista que podr\u00eda suceder.<\/p>\n

Afortunadamente, el presidente Trump eligi\u00f3 un camino diferente hacia la paz, un camino anclado en la realidad.<\/p>\n

Reconoci\u00f3 a Jerusal\u00e9n como la capital de Israel; reconoci\u00f3 la soberan\u00eda de Israel sobre los Altos del Gol\u00e1n; y present\u00f3 un plan de paz realista que reconoce el derecho de Israel, aborda las necesidades de seguridad de Israel y proporciona a los palestinos un camino digno y realista hacia adelante si hacen la paz con Israel.<\/p>\n

Los cr\u00edticos argumentaron que cada uno de estos pasos del presidente Trump matar\u00eda las posibilidades de paz.<\/p>\n

Bueno, estaban equivocados. Completamente equivocado.<\/p>\n

Esos pasos hicieron avanzar la paz.<\/p>\n

Ahora dos estados \u00e1rabes han decidido hacer las paces con Israel, y seguir\u00e1n m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

El c\u00edrculo de paz en expansi\u00f3n no har\u00e1 que un acuerdo entre Israel y los palestinos sea menos probable. Har\u00e1 m\u00e1s probable la paz entre israel\u00edes y palestinos.<\/p>\n

Los l\u00edderes palestinos se dar\u00e1n cuenta cada vez m\u00e1s de que ya no tienen veto sobre la paz y el progreso en nuestra regi\u00f3n y, con suerte, esos l\u00edderes finalmente decidir\u00e1n hacer la paz con el Estado jud\u00edo.<\/p>\n

Y cuando eso suceda, Israel estar\u00e1 listo.<\/p>\n

Estar\u00e9 listo y dispuesto a negociar sobre la base del plan de Trump para poner fin a nuestro conflicto con los palestinos de una vez por todas.<\/p>\n

Israel y los estados de todo el mundo \u00e1rabe no solo est\u00e1n unidos para promover la paz. Estamos unidos para enfrentar al mayor enemigo de la paz en el Medio Oriente: Ir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Ir\u00e1n ataca repetidamente y sin sentido a sus vecinos, y sus representantes terroristas est\u00e1n directamente involucrados en la violencia en todo el Medio Oriente, incluso en Irak, Siria, Yemen, Gaza y, por supuesto, L\u00edbano.<\/p>\n

Todos vimos la terrible explosi\u00f3n en el puerto de Beirut el mes pasado. La explosi\u00f3n ocurri\u00f3 aqu\u00ed. Este es el puerto de Beirut.<\/p>\n

Doscientas personas murieron, miles de personas resultaron heridas y un cuarto de mill\u00f3n de personas se quedaron sin hogar.<\/p>\n

Ahora, aqu\u00ed es donde podr\u00eda tener lugar la pr\u00f3xima explosi\u00f3n. Aqu\u00ed mismo. Este es el barrio de Beirut de Janah. Est\u00e1 justo al lado del aeropuerto internacional. Y aqu\u00ed, Hezbollah mantiene un dep\u00f3sito de armas secreto. Este dep\u00f3sito secreto de armas, aqu\u00ed mismo, es adyacente, a un metro de distancia, de una compa\u00f1\u00eda de gas. Estas son garrafas (bombones) de gas. Aqu\u00ed mismo. Est\u00e1 a unos metros de la compa\u00f1\u00eda de gas. Est\u00e1 a cincuenta metros de la compa\u00f1\u00eda de gas. Le digo a la gente de Janah, tienen que actuar ahora. Tienen que protestar por esto. Porque si esta cosa explota, ser\u00e1 otra tragedia.<\/p>\n

Le digo al pueblo del L\u00edbano: Israel no quiere hacerles da\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Pero Ir\u00e1n lo quiere.<\/p>\n

Ir\u00e1n y Hezbollah les han puesto deliberadamente a ustedes y a tus familias en grave peligro.<\/p>\n

Y lo que ustedes deben dejar claro es que lo que han hecho es inaceptable. Deber\u00edan decirles que derriben estos dep\u00f3sitos.<\/p>\n

Hace apenas unos d\u00edas, uno de estos dep\u00f3sitos explot\u00f3 en Ain Qana, en el sur del L\u00edbano.<\/p>\n

Y es por eso que la comunidad internacional debe insistir en que Hezbollah deje de utilizar el L\u00edbano y los civiles libaneses como escudos humanos.<\/p>\n

Todos debemos enfrentar a Ir\u00e1n, y el presidente Trump merece elogios por hacer exactamente eso.<\/p>\n

En primer lugar, felicito al presidente Trump por retirarse del defectuoso acuerdo nuclear con Ir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

En 2015, me qued\u00e9 solo frente a los l\u00edderes mundiales al oponerme al vergonzoso acuerdo nuclear que se hizo con Ir\u00e1n. Me opuse porque el acuerdo nuclear no bloque\u00f3 el camino de Ir\u00e1n hacia la bomba, en realidad allan\u00f3 el camino hacia ella. Me opuse porque las restricciones del acuerdo sobre el programa nuclear de Ir\u00e1n eran solo temporales y no estaban vinculadas de ninguna manera al cambio de comportamiento de Ir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Ahora, Ir\u00e1n ha violado incluso esas restricciones temporales.<\/p>\n

Debido a estas violaciones, Ir\u00e1n tendr\u00e1 suficiente uranio enriquecido en unos meses para dos bombas nucleares.<\/p>\n

E Ir\u00e1n ha estado trabajando en una nueva generaci\u00f3n de centrifugadoras, se llama IR9, que multiplicar\u00e1 por cincuenta la capacidad de enriquecimiento de Ir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

No hay duda de que Ir\u00e1n busca armas nucleares.<\/p>\n

Lo que alguna vez fue un archivo nuclear secreto, que los agentes de Israel obtuvieron del coraz\u00f3n de Teher\u00e1n, lo demuestra m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de toda duda.<\/p>\n

En el per\u00edodo previo al acuerdo nuclear, se le dijo a Israel, especialmente por parte de nuestros amigos europeos, que cualquier violaci\u00f3n iran\u00ed ser\u00eda recibida con una respuesta r\u00e1pida y severa.<\/p>\n

Pero frente a las descaradas violaciones de Ir\u00e1n, frente a las pruebas irrefutables del archivo nuclear, el Consejo de Seguridad no ha hecho, bueno, absolutamente nada.<\/p>\n

Y comprometido con el fallido acuerdo nuclear, el Consejo de Seguridad tambi\u00e9n se niega a ver lo que era obvio para cualquiera que entienda algo sobre Oriente Medio.<\/p>\n

En lugar de frenar la agresi\u00f3n de Ir\u00e1n, el acuerdo nuclear lo aliment\u00f3 y financi\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Hace cinco a\u00f1os, al eliminar las sanciones contra Ir\u00e1n, las principales potencias del mundo abrieron la puerta de la jaula de un tigre y luego simplemente esperaron lo mejor.<\/p>\n

Pero en cambio, exactamente como advert\u00ed hace cinco a\u00f1os, los que vivimos en el Medio Oriente estamos sufriendo las consecuencias de ese acuerdo irresponsable. Un Ir\u00e1n m\u00e1s rico y envalentonado us\u00f3 los miles de millones que fluyeron a sus arcas para impulsar su campa\u00f1a de carnicer\u00eda y conquista en toda la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Afortunadamente, el presidente Trump reconoci\u00f3 el desastroso acuerdo nuclear por lo que era y actu\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Restaur\u00f3 las sanciones estadounidenses, oblig\u00f3 a los pa\u00edses a elegir entre hacer negocios con Estados Unidos o hacer negocios con Ir\u00e1n, y elimin\u00f3 al terrorista m\u00e1s peligroso del mundo, Qassem Suleimani.<\/p>\n

Y el mes pasado, cuando el Consejo de Seguridad se neg\u00f3 a extender un embargo de armas a Ir\u00e1n, Estados Unidos reactiv\u00f3 las sanciones.<\/p>\n

Mientras el Consejo de Seguridad est\u00e1 dividido, en la regi\u00f3n estamos unidos.<\/p>\n

Tanto los \u00e1rabes como los israel\u00edes est\u00e1n instando juntos a tomar medidas duras contra Ir\u00e1n. Y cuando \u00e1rabes e israel\u00edes est\u00e1n de acuerdo, los dem\u00e1s deber\u00edan prestar atenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Israel hace un llamado a todos los miembros del Consejo de Seguridad, apoyen a los Estados Unidos contra la agresi\u00f3n de Ir\u00e1n, ap\u00f3yenlo en insistir en que Ir\u00e1n ponga fin a su programa de armas nucleares de una vez por todas, apoyen a los Estados Unidos al enfrentar el mayor peligro para la paz en nuestro regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Y si lo hacen, estoy seguro de que en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os podremos celebrar m\u00e1s buenas noticias de Oriente Medio.<\/p>\n

Buenas noticias para Israel.<\/p>\n

Buenas noticias para nuestros vecinos \u00e1rabes.<\/p>\n

Y buenas noticias para el mundo para todos aquellos que buscan la paz, la seguridad y la prosperidad \u00ab.<\/p>\n
