El Servicio de Seguridad General (Shabak) anunci\u00f3 que sus agentes desbarataron un atentado con explosivos en el cruce carretero Bilu, en el centro del pa\u00eds.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Paralelamente, present\u00f3 tres actas de acusaci\u00f3n por delitos graves contra la seguridad del Estado contra los hermanos Mahmoud, Ahmad y Osama Makdad.<\/p>\n

La investigaci\u00f3n del caso revela que Mahmoud Makdad, de 30 a\u00f1os, domiciliado en la localidad de Shaqib al Salam (Segev Shalom, en hebrero) fue reclutado por el grupo terrorista isl\u00e1mico palestino Ham\u00e1s con el prop\u00f3sito de recolectar inteligencia militar en el desierto del Negev y en una segunda fase, en los \u00faltimos meses, recibi\u00f3 instrucciones y entrenamiento para perpetrar un atentado con explosivos.<\/p>\n

La madre de Makdad, es beduina israel\u00ed y su padre oriundo de la Franja de Gaza. Est\u00e1 casado con una mujer residente de la Franja, y divide su tiempo entre Segev Shalom, en el Negev israel\u00ed, y Rafah, en el sur de Gaza, con cruces frecuentes a trav\u00e9s del paso fronterizo Erez, gracias al programa especial de reunificaci\u00f3n familiar.<\/p>\n

Makdad fue detenido, con otros nueve familiares y conocidos, la mayor\u00eda de ellos domiciliados en Segev Shalom, bajo sospechas de conocimiento y participaci\u00f3n en la planificaci\u00f3n del atentado. Entre los detenidos, se encuentran el hermano de Mahmoud, Ahmad Makdad, de 32 a\u00f1os, tambi\u00e9n domiciliado en Segev Shalom, y otro hermano de nombre Osama.<\/p>\n

La investigaci\u00f3n del Shabak sugiere que Mahmoud acept\u00f3 trabajar para Hamas a fines de 2019, en ese marco recolect\u00f3 inteligencia y realiz\u00f3 observaciones en varios sitios del pa\u00eds, principalmente recopil\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n sobre la ubicaci\u00f3n de varias bater\u00edas antimisiles C\u00fapula de Hierro.<\/p>\n

En los \u00faltimos meses, durante su estad\u00eda en Gaza y antes de su \u00faltima entrada a Israel, Hamas entren\u00f3 a Mahmoud en el armado de artefactos explosivos y le dio instrucciones para perpetrar un atentado.<\/p>\n

Tras su ingreso a Israel en junio de 2020, Mahmoud adquiri\u00f3 municiones y comenz\u00f3 a ensamblar el artefacto explosivo de acuerdo con las instrucciones que recibi\u00f3 en la Franja de Gaza. Paralelamente, estaba buscando un lugar para llevar a cabo el ataque mientras se manten\u00eda en contacto secreto con sus operadores en Gaza. El destino que hab\u00eda sido elegido era una parada de autobuses en el cruce carretero Bilu.<\/p>\n<\/a>
