En el mes de abril, en una larga entrevista concedida a un medio local, el jefe de Hamas en la Franja de Gaza declar\u00f3 que la llegada del Coronavirus a dicha zona ser\u00eda \u201cla ca\u00edda de la fortaleza\u201d. Ahora, claro est\u00e1, no habla en esos t\u00e9rminos, pero no porque el virus no haya entrado.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Si bien en los \u00faltimos meses hubo varios casos de Coronavirus en Gaza, a los que el gobierno de Hamas reaccion\u00f3 en forma terminante imponiendo una cuarentena de 21 d\u00edas a todo aquel que llegue a la Franja desde el exterior., ahora se vive una nueva etapa.<\/p>\n

En los \u00faltimos d\u00edas han sido descubiertos varias decenas de casos de Covid-19 en el territorio gobernado por Hamas, en lo que suele llamarse \u201cestallido dentro de la comunidad\u201d. O sea ya no un caso f\u00e1cilmente identificable como resultado de un contagio de alguien llegado de afuera (Israel o Egipto) sino de enfermos que no se sabe d\u00f3nde se contagiaron, gente que se moviliz\u00f3 por la Franja durante semanas \u00b4, cabe suponer que contagiando a otros, antes de ser detectada como portadora del virus.<\/p>\n

Esta situaci\u00f3n empez\u00f3 a darse en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas y ha ido empeorando.<\/p>\n

En el momento de escribir estas l\u00edneas , asciende a casi 80 la cantidad de infectados activos en la Franja.<\/p>\n

Las restricciones impuestas por las autoridades incluyen bloqueo de caminos, cierre total y absoluto y toque de queda.<\/p>\n

Este jueves se inform\u00f3 que 16 profesionales m\u00e9dicos, la mayor\u00eda del hospital Shifa de Gaza, se hab\u00edan contagiado.<\/p>\n

Tal como sucedi\u00f3 en otras partes del mundo, tambi\u00e9n en Gaza la gente aplaude desde sus casas a los equipos m\u00e9dicos.<\/p>\n

Esto ocurre mientras el enviado especial de Qatar se halla en Gaza-a pesar del Coronavirus- para entregar los millones mensuales que se pagan hace m\u00e1s de medio a\u00f1o. Hamas presiona para mejorar las condiciones, alegando que lo que hace es luchar \u201ccontra el bloqueo israel\u00ed\u201d. Intensifica el lanzamiento de globos incendiaros y explosivos hacia Israel, para tenerlos luego como un arma en la negociaci\u00f3n y poder mostrar la interrupci\u00f3n de sus ataques como resultado de un acuerdo con Qatar para mejorar la situaci\u00f3n en Gaza.<\/p>\n<\/a>
