Israel comenz\u00f3 a realizar pruebas serol\u00f3gicas masivas el lunes para detectar anticuerpos del COVID-19, en medio de una creciente preocupaci\u00f3n por una \u00absegunda ola\u00bb de infecciones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Se realizar\u00e1n alrededor de 80,000 pruebas en todo el pa\u00eds, seg\u00fan un informe del Canal 12 de Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n

El mi\u00e9rcoles se registr\u00f3 el mayor aumento diario de casos de COVID-19 en el pa\u00eds desde el inicio de la pandemia, con 966 nuevos casos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Se estima que el n\u00famero de personas <\/span>expuestas al virus<\/span><\/a> es diez veces el n\u00famero realmente diagnosticado como portadores, lo que indica una tasa de infecci\u00f3n mucho mayor de lo que se pensaba anteriormente.<\/span><\/p>\n

La prueba serol\u00f3gica no se usa para diagnosticar si una persona tiene o no la enfermedad, pero puede detectar anticuerpos que aparecen unos 21 d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de que una persona ha sido infectada. Aquellos en los que se encuentran anticuerpos se consideran portadores de coronavirus, pero a\u00fan no est\u00e1 claro si dicha persona puede infectarse nuevamente o no.<\/span><\/p>\n

El Ministerio de Salud de Israel ha dado instrucciones de que los que tienen anticuerpos pero que no se sab\u00eda que ten\u00edan la enfermedad ser\u00e1n enviados a <\/span>pruebas de coronavirus<\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n puede haber personas infectadas con el virus pero que no desarrollan anticuerpos. Sin embargo, es probable que sus n\u00fameros en relaci\u00f3n con todos los pacientes sean bajos.
