Un ex m\u00e9dico de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel que ahora es el director m\u00e9dico de Moderna, una de las cinco compa\u00f1\u00edas farmac\u00e9uticas que el gobierno de EE. UU. ha identificado como finalistas en la carrera por una vacuna Covid-19, est\u00e1 expresando su optimismo sobre las posibilidades de que una vacuna pueda ser una realidad el a\u00f1o que viene.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abRealmente esperamos que esto funcione\u00bb, dijo el funcionario de la compa\u00f1\u00eda farmac\u00e9utica, Tal Zaks, en un evento online esta semana. Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la firma hab\u00eda contratado a un fabricante y que en 2021, \u00abesperamos poder hacer mil millones de dosis\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

La vacuna de Moderna se basa en una tecnolog\u00eda que utiliza el \u00abARN mensajero\u00bb, que Zaks describi\u00f3 como \u00abel software de la vida\u00bb. <\/span>El New York Times<\/span><\/em> inform\u00f3 el 3 de junio que Moderna ser\u00eda una de las cinco compa\u00f1\u00edas elegidas como parte del proyecto de la administraci\u00f3n Trump para probar y desplegar una vacuna que proteger\u00eda contra el nuevo coronavirus. A mediados de mayo, la compa\u00f1\u00eda anunci\u00f3 resultados positivos de un ensayo en humanos con ocho personas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan los informes, la Autoridad de Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo Biom\u00e9dico Avanzado del gobierno federal acord\u00f3 proporcionar $ 483 millones para respaldar los esfuerzos de desarrollo de vacunas de Moderna.<\/span><\/p>\n
