El primer ministro en funciones, Benjam\u00edn Netanyahu y el presidente del Consejo de Seguridad de Sud\u00e1n, Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Burhan, se reunieron ayer en Entebbe, Uganda. Ambos l\u00edderes se encontraron por invitaci\u00f3n del presidente ugand\u00e9s Yoweri Museveni.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Durante el encuentro, ambos l\u00edderes acordaron comenzar la cooperaci\u00f3n para normalizar las relaciones entre los dos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl primer ministro Netanyahu cree que Sud\u00e1n se est\u00e1 moviendo en una direcci\u00f3n nueva y positiva e incluso ha expresado su opini\u00f3n al secretario de Estado de Estados Unidos\u00bb, apunt\u00f3 la Oficina del Primer Ministro.<\/p>\n

El comunicado agrega que Burhan expres\u00f3 \u201csu deseo de conducir su pa\u00eds a trav\u00e9s de un proceso de modernizaci\u00f3n sac\u00e1ndolo del aislamiento y coloc\u00e1ndolo en el mapa mundial\u201d.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu indic\u00f3 que el gobierno de Uganda est\u00e1 considerando abrir una embajada en Jerusal\u00e9n. \u201cEspero que al final del d\u00eda tengamos una serie de muy buenas noticias para el Estado de Israel\u201d, declar\u00f3.<\/p>\n

El primer ministro se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el Estado jud\u00edo abrir\u00e1 una embajada en Kampala, capital de Uganda. Si Uganda abre una embajada en Jerusal\u00e9n ser\u00e1 el tercer pa\u00eds en hacerlo despu\u00e9s de Estados Unidos y Guatemala.<\/p>\n

En julio de 2016, Netanyahu visit\u00f3 por primera vez Uganda, donde fue invitado a una ceremonia para marcar el cuadrag\u00e9simo aniversario de la Operaci\u00f3n Entebbe, donde cay\u00f3 su hermano, Yoni, en combate. Desde entonces, Netanyahu ha visitado Etiopia, Kenia y Ruanda. En enero del 2019 se convirti\u00f3 en el primer mandatario israel\u00ed en visitar Chad.<\/p>\n<\/a>
