Lag B\u00b4omer es un d\u00eda festivo y alegre en Israel, marcado por las fogatas, campamentos y barbacoas a la que nos tienen acostumbrados, sobre todo, los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes, que cada a\u00f1o anhelan este momento para disfrutar con la familia y amigos.
\n<\/strong><\/em>
\nLag B\u00b4omer es una festividad jud\u00eda que celebra el d\u00eda 33 de la cuenta del Omer; celebraci\u00f3n en honor a Rab\u00ed Shimon Bar Yochai y a la revelaci\u00f3n del Zohar. Rab\u00ed Shimon Bar Yochai vivi\u00f3 en el primer siglo y fue un gran l\u00edder jud\u00edo, sabio y m\u00edstico. Leyendas jud\u00edas estipulan que \u00e9l es el autor del Zohar, uno de los textos fundamentales de la m\u00edstica jud\u00eda. El fuego simbolizar\u00eda la luz m\u00edstica del alma.<\/p>\n

En Israel, cada Lag B\u00b4omer, los ni\u00f1os se re\u00fanen alrededor de hogueras y hacen barbacoas con sus amigos. En los d\u00edas previos a la Lag Ba\u00b4mer, a menudo se pueden encontrar los ni\u00f1os en busca de madera para as\u00ed poder usarlas en sus hogueras. En efecto, en Israel Lag B\u00b4omer es un gran d\u00eda de festivo para los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os<\/p>\n

En Meron, en particular, donde est\u00e1 enterrado el rabino Shimon Bar Yochai, en Lag B\u00b4omer se re\u00fanen cientos de miles de jud\u00edos. En la tumba de Rab\u00ed Shimon Bar Yochai, el cometido de encender la hoguera principal pasa tradicionalmente a un descendiente de la dinast\u00eda rab\u00ednica Boyanar, una gran familia de rabinos jas\u00eddicos. En esta ocasi\u00f3n, todos los jud\u00edos, ya sean sefard\u00ed, mizrah\u00ed o ashkenaz\u00ed, se re\u00fanen y celebran \u00a0la fiesta como una sola gran naci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Por poner una ejemplo de la importancia de este d\u00eda, los jud\u00edos no se casan entre Pesaj y Lag B\u00b4omer y entre esta fecha y Shavuot. \u00a0Entre los ashkenazim, se acostumbra a permitir casarse el d\u00eda 33. Sin embargo, entre los sefarad\u00edm la costumbre es diferente ya que no se permite casarse hasta Shavuot, ni cortarse el cabello hasta el d\u00eda 34 por la ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, en Lag B\u00b4omer los ni\u00f1os tambi\u00e9n juegan con arcos y flechas, una idea que fue tomada de un Midrash popular. Rab\u00ed Menajem Mendel Schneerson, conocido como el Rebe de Lubavitch, uno de los grandes l\u00edderes del pueblo jud\u00edo en el siglo pasado alent\u00f3 a los desfiles de los ni\u00f1os en esta misma fiesta. En Lag B\u00b4omer, las escuelas est\u00e1n cerradas, mientras que varios movimientos juveniles organizan actividades ociosas. Como vemos, Lag B\u00b4omer es uno de esos d\u00edas festivos que a uno le apetece pasear por las calles de Israel, mientras contempla tanta alegr\u00eda en la cara, sobre todo, de los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
