La Coalici\u00f3n contra el Trauma de Israel recibi\u00f3 recientemente el estatus de Asesor Especial del Consejo Econ\u00f3mico y Social de las Naciones Unidas (ECOSOC), el estatus m\u00e1s alto que una organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro puede alcanzar en el escenario mundial.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Por TPS<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

El estatus de Asesor Especial fue otorgado recientemente por las Naciones Unidas a la Coalici\u00f3n contra el Trauma de Israel (ITC, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), otorg\u00e1ndole a la organizaci\u00f3n un reconocimiento especial por su trabajo en Israel y en todo el mundo. Se llev\u00f3 a cabo un proceso de verificaci\u00f3n de 18 meses antes de recibir este estado.<\/span><\/p>\n

ECOSOC es la plataforma central de las Naciones Unidas que promueve el desarrollo sostenible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Creado en 2001, el ITC es una organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro que se asocia con m\u00e1s de 40 organizaciones para crear un continuo de atenci\u00f3n en el campo del trauma, la respuesta y la preparaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

ITC ha trabajado en Sri Lanka, Hait\u00ed, India, Francia, Jap\u00f3n, Nepal, Filipinas, Chechenia, Jordania y los EE. UU. despu\u00e9s del hurac\u00e1n Katrina, los ataques terroristas del 9\/11 y despu\u00e9s del ataque durante la marat\u00f3n de Boston.<\/span><\/p>\n

El ITC aprovecha el vasto conocimiento y la experiencia de Israel en el campo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Esto nos permitir\u00e1 compartir nuestro conocimiento y experiencia en conferencias internacionales organizadas por la ONU sobre temas relacionados con nuestro campo de actividad\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abPara m\u00ed, este reconocimiento es un reconocimiento de la incre\u00edble actividad que nuestro equipo est\u00e1 realizando durante todo el a\u00f1o en asociaci\u00f3n con las organizaciones, con el objetivo de promover la capacidad de recuperaci\u00f3n despu\u00e9s de actos de terrorismo o de desastres naturales\u00bb, agreg\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n

El nuevo estatus permite al ITC acceder a todas las actividades intergubernamentales relacionadas con temas sociales y econ\u00f3micos en la ONU y se cre\u00f3 para empoderar a las organizaciones de la sociedad civil para que participen activamente en el trabajo de la ONU.<\/span><\/p>\n

M\u00e1s de 15 organizaciones israel\u00edes han sido reconocidas como entidades consultivas en el ECOSOC. Este estado les da la capacidad de influir en la formulaci\u00f3n de las pol\u00edticas de las Naciones Unidas y las decisiones tomadas en sus instituciones.<\/span><\/p>\n
