En estos d\u00edas se cumple un nuevo aniversario de la reunificaci\u00f3n de Jerusalem durante la Guerra de los Seis D\u00edas en 1967.<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n

Desde entonces, cada 28 del mes hebreo de iyar se celebra Yom Yerushalayim, el d\u00eda dedicado a la capital m\u00e1s antigua del mundo: primero de los israelitas desde que el rey David se estableci\u00f3 all\u00ed; luego de los jud\u00edos dispersos por el planeta (por siglos durante los cuales la recordaron con cientos de menciones en sus textos sagrados y juramentando su retorno a ella en sus oraciones); y, finalmente, de los israel\u00edes.<\/p>\n

Quien la haya visitado a lo largo de su vida en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas habr\u00e1 notado que, a diferencia de tantas ciudades del mundo que crecen hacia arriba, modificando su \u201cskyline\u201d (el horizonte artificial dibujado por sus edificios m\u00e1s destacados y elevados), la silueta de Jerusalem (su panorama urbano) sigue pr\u00e1cticamente inalterado, especialmente en torno a ese \u201combligo del mundo\u201d que constituye el monte del templo ausente, sobre el que brillan dos c\u00fapulas. Porque Jerusalem crece hacia adentro, mostrando poco a poco sus entra\u00f1as invisibilizadas por el polvo y las rocas de quienes pretendieron hacerla suya, neg\u00e1ndole su nombre y ra\u00edz: Aelia Capitolina o Al Quds.<\/p>\n

En el transcurso de una sola vida, esta generaci\u00f3n ha tenido el privilegio de ser testigo de este despertar de unas ruinas que hasta hace poco no eran m\u00e1s que casas, huertos y solares, debajo de los cuales los personajes b\u00edblicos certificaban su condici\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica real. Incluso bajo los pies de los fieles incansables que se inclinaron durante toda la historia del exilio para besar las piedras del \u00faltimo vestigio en torno al Sancta Santorum e inyectar entre sus juntas sus anhelos, aflora hoy la verdadera dimensi\u00f3n de sus murallas, del palacio real, de la v\u00eda comercial y sus tiendas, de las obras de infraestructura capaces de llevar agua a las sagradas alturas, de los inexplicables caminos tallados en piedras bajo piedras.<\/p>\n

Desde la distancia, Jerusalem parece inamovible y eterna en su perfil, pero en su interior bullen las huellas que buscan recuperar la luz y el aire que le dieron forma y significado. Jerusalem crece exponencialmente, pero no aspira a ara\u00f1ar las nubes sino a lavar, capa a capa, las lega\u00f1as del tiempo para mostrarnos su reluciente linaje, oculto tras el odio, el desprecio y el olvido de quienes en ella imperaron y hoy no est\u00e1n m\u00e1s que entre la lista de civilizaciones desaparecidas. Bajo la p\u00e1tina ennegrecida de cenizas nuevas y antiguas podemos vislumbrar el origen milenario y su consagraci\u00f3n como lo m\u00e1s cercano al cielo en la tierra: el puente entre la Jerusalem de arriba y la de abajo, la celestial y la terrenal, la f\u00edsica y la espiritual. El fundamento que nos hace trascender de una grey que profesa una religi\u00f3n para convertirnos en naci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n
