En el marco del D\u00eda de Conmemoraci\u00f3n del Holocausto que tendr\u00e1 lugar desde este mi\u00e9rcoles por la noche, la Oficina Central de Estad\u00edsticas de Israel public\u00f3 algunos datos sobre la poblaci\u00f3n jud\u00eda mundial y los sobrevivientes del Holocausto.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el informe publicado, la poblaci\u00f3n jud\u00eda en todo el mundo habr\u00eda alcanzado a finales del 2017 un total de 14.6 millones de personas.<\/p>\n

Esta cifra ser\u00eda muy similar a la cantidad de jud\u00edos que viv\u00edan en el a\u00f1o 1925 (14.8 millones) aunque seguir\u00eda estando por debajo de los que hab\u00edan en 1939, antes del Holocausto (16.6 millones).<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, el reporte indica que 6.5 millones de jud\u00edos viven en Israel, cerca de 5.7 millones en EEUU, 453 mil en Francia, 391 mil en Canad\u00e1, 290 mil en el Reino Unido y 180 mil en Argentina.<\/p>\n

La Oficina de Estad\u00edsticas tambi\u00e9n report\u00f3 que para finales del 2017 viv\u00edan en Israel 212.300 sobrevivientes del Holocausto, cerca de 8 mil menos de los que hab\u00edan a finales del a\u00f1o 2016. Seg\u00fan un informe anterior de este organismo, solo un 29% de los sobrevivientes que viv\u00edan hasta finales del 2016, seguir\u00e1n con vida en el a\u00f1o 2030.<\/p>\n
