El pr\u00f3ximo 9 de abril 6.339.279 de israel\u00edes estamos convocados a elegir a los representantes para la 21\u00ba Knesset. En esta p\u00e1gina encontrar\u00e1s toda la informaci\u00f3n relevante sobre las \u00faltimas encuestas y una breve descripci\u00f3n de los partidos pol\u00edticos.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Israel es la \u00fanica democracia liberal pr\u00f3spera en toda la regi\u00f3n del Medio Oriente. De hecho, Freedom House define a Israel como el \u00fanico estado libre \u00a0en todo Oriente Medio. Ninguno de los vecinos de Israel son libres como s\u00ed lo es Israel.<\/p>\n

De hecho, los vecinos \u00e1rabes de Israel s\u00f3lo podr\u00edan so\u00f1ar con vivir en una democracia liberal como Israel que respete los derechos humanos, los derechos de las minor\u00edas, los derechos de la mujer, la libertad de prensa, la libertad de pensamiento y de opini\u00f3n y la libertad acad\u00e9mica.<\/p>\n

Los israel\u00edes deber\u00edan estar agradecidos por vivir en un pa\u00eds como Israel, que ha logrado mantener los valores democr\u00e1ticos en una regi\u00f3n del mundo donde las democracias son inexistentes.<\/p>\n

El 9 de Abril es un d\u00eda especial para la democracia de Israel. En este d\u00eda los ciudadanos votar\u00e1n para elegir a los partidos que los representar\u00e1n en la Knesset (parlamento israel\u00ed).<\/p>\n

El 9 de abril, por 21\u00aa vez, Israel votar\u00e1. Estas elecciones determinar\u00e1n el futuro pol\u00edtico de Israel para los pr\u00f3ximos cuatro a\u00f1os, a menos que se convoquen antes, lo que ocurre cuando la coalici\u00f3n mayoritaria del Knesset no puede ponerse de acuerdo sobre cuestiones de pol\u00edtica central.<\/p>\n

Sobre la Democracia israel\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n

Est\u00e1 compuesta por una c\u00e1mara \u00fanica dividida en 120 esca\u00f1os elegidos para un mandato de 4 a\u00f1os mediante el sistema de representaci\u00f3n proporcional de listas de partido. La Knesset puede proponer leyes o dictarlas, supervisa el trabajo del Gobierno as\u00ed como al Contador del Estado, entre otras muchas funciones.<\/p>\n

Si bien Israel es conocido tambi\u00e9n como el Estado jud\u00edo no significa que todos sus ciudadanos lo sean; seg\u00fan el censo del 31 de diciembre de 2018 la poblaci\u00f3n no jud\u00eda asciende a 2.304.000 habitantes (20,9 % \u00e1rabes).<\/p>\n

Todo ciudadano israel\u00ed, independientemente de su credo, es libre de crear asociaciones o partidos pol\u00edticos para ser elegidos o representados en la Knesset. Es decir, cualquier ciudadano puede optar al cargo de Primer Ministro, ocupar un cargo ministerial o ser diputado.<\/p>\n

El primer representante \u00e1rabe de la Knesset que form\u00f3 coalici\u00f3n gubernamental fue Seif el-Din el-Zoubi (1913-1986) como l\u00edder de la formaci\u00f3n Lista Democr\u00e1tica de Nazaret en 1949. Entre 1959-1965 y luego entre 1971-1973 fue alcalde de Nazaret, para luego regresar a la Knesset hasta 1979.<\/p>\n
