Dos mujeres israel\u00edes murieron cuando el grupo tur\u00edstico en el que participaban se vio involucrado en un accidente en un r\u00edo del sur de Chile, anunci\u00f3 el Ministerio de Exteriores.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Las dos mujeres ten\u00edan 61 y 71 a\u00f1os, respectivamente. Sus familiares fueron notificados.<\/p>\n

Un grupo de 16 israel\u00edes se vio involucrado en un accidente de \u201crafting\u201d o balsismo en la Patagonia chilena. Se trata de un deporte o una recreaci\u00f3n que consiste en descender siguiendo la corriente de un r\u00edo o \u201cr\u00e1pidos\u201d, que tienen alg\u00fan grado de turbulencia. Cuatro de los heridos se encuentran en grave estado. El resto sufri\u00f3 lesiones leves.<\/p>\n

Los muertos y heridos tienen edades comprendidas entre los 60 y 70 a\u00f1os, y formaban parte de un grupo tur\u00edstico de la empresa Massaot, que estaba realizando rafting en un r\u00edo del parque nacional Torres del Paine. El bote en el que se desplazaban volc\u00f3 al agua cuando el capit\u00e1n del nav\u00edo perdi\u00f3 el control y la embaraci\u00f3n se estrell\u00f3 contra una cerca.<\/p>\n

El c\u00f3nsul de Israel en la zona, Le\u00f3n Suissa, se encuentra camino a la regi\u00f3n apunt\u00f3 el Ministerio de Exteriores.<\/p>\n

El embajador israel\u00ed en Chile, Eldad Hayet, dijo a la Radio del Ej\u00e9rcito (Galei Tz\u00e1hal) que habl\u00f3 con algunos de los heridos.<\/p>\n

Las v\u00edctimas fueron evacuadas a hospitales locales.<\/p>\n

El ministro interino de Exteriores, Israel Katz, dialog\u00f3 con Hayet y le dio instrucciones para que los heridos sean regresados a Israel y para que se hagan todos los arreglos necesarios.<\/p>\n

La polic\u00eda local abri\u00f3 una investigaci\u00f3n del incidente.<\/p>\n
