El presidente checo, Milos Zeman, prometi\u00f3 hoy hacer todo lo posible para trasladar la embajada de su pa\u00eds a Jerusalem, pero reconoci\u00f3 que no tiene la autoridad para hacerlo.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Durante un breve discurso ante la Knesset, el primero de un l\u00edder checo en el parlamento de Israel, Zeman expres\u00f3 su solidaridad con Israel y reprendi\u00f3 a los europeos por ser \u00abcobardes\u00bb que, debido a su correcci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica, no denuncian al terrorismo isl\u00e1mico.<\/p>\n

\u201cMa\u00f1ana abrir\u00e9 la casa checa. \u00bfD\u00f3nde? En jerusalem\u201d, dijo.<\/p>\n

Como presidente, Zeman tiene un poder ejecutivo limitado. El primer ministro checo, Andrej Babis, ha expresado previamente su oposici\u00f3n a una reubicaci\u00f3n completa de la embajada en Israel, citando la pol\u00edtica de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, que se opone firmemente a la medida.<\/p>\n

En su discurso de ocho minutos, Zeman apunt\u00f3 a Bruselas por lo que describi\u00f3 como su enfoque apolog\u00e9tico al terrorismo palestino.<\/p>\n

\u00abLos europeos… hablo de la UE, de hecho, a veces dudamos\u00bb, dijo. \u201cA veces somos cobardes. Es muy descort\u00e9s, \u00bfno? Pero me temo que es franco. Sin mencionar su nombre, Zeman record\u00f3 que el a\u00f1o pasado el Parlamento Europeo recibi\u00f3 a Leila Khaled , una terrorista palestina condenada.<\/p>\n

\u00abCreo que es una verg\u00fcenza para el Parlamento Europeo, y es una verg\u00fcenza para todos los europeos\u00bb, dijo.<\/p>\n

En ocasiones, es importante \u00abevitar la correcci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica\u00bb, agreg\u00f3 el presidente de 74 a\u00f1os, y se\u00f1al\u00f3 que utiliza deliberadamente el t\u00e9rmino de \u00abterrorismo isl\u00e1mico\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Zeman dijo que la Rep\u00fablica Checa puede ser el mejor amigo de Israel en el mundo, y agreg\u00f3 que \u00e9l mismo es \u00abel mejor amigo de Israel en mi propio pa\u00eds\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abMi discurso es un mensaje hacia la solidaridad con Israel y el pueblo jud\u00edo\u00bb, dijo.<\/p>\n

Previamente, el primer ministro Benjam\u00edn Netanyahu habl\u00f3 en detalle sobre la historia de los jud\u00edos checos.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n record\u00f3 algunos aspectos hist\u00f3ricos de la amistad entre la Rep\u00fablica Checa e Israel, y se\u00f1al\u00f3 que los l\u00edderes checos apoyaban el sionismo antes de que se fundara el estado y, despu\u00e9s de 1948, le brindaron un apoyo diplom\u00e1tico y militar vital.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu elogi\u00f3 a Zeman como un \u00abgran l\u00edder que defiende la verdad\u00bb, compar\u00e1ndolo con otros importantes estadistas checos como Tom\u00e1\u0161 Masaryk.<\/p>\n
