El congresista Jair Bolsonaro gan\u00f3 la presidencia de Brasil el domingo con las promesas de revisar varios aspectos de la naci\u00f3n m\u00e1s grande de Am\u00e9rica Latina, una de los cuales fue fomentar relaciones m\u00e1s estrechas con Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gan\u00f3 por m\u00e1s del 55 por ciento de los votos el domingo, comparado con poco menos del 45 por ciento para el Partido de los Trabajadores rival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Los partidarios de Bolsonaros se vieron divirti\u00e9ndose en las calles, muchos de ellos incluso agitaron banderas israel\u00edes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Considerado a favor de Israel, Bolsonaro se ha comprometido a\u00a0<\/span>trasladar la embajada del pa\u00eds en Israel a Jerusalem<\/span><\/a>\u00a0y ha dicho que <\/span>cerrar\u00e1 la embajada palestina en Brasilia<\/span><\/a>. Inaugurada en 2016, la embajada es la primera misi\u00f3n diplom\u00e1tica de los palestinos en el hemisferio occidental.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c\u00bfEs Palestina un pa\u00eds? \u00abPalestina no es un pa\u00eds, por lo que no deber\u00eda haber embajada aqu\u00ed\u00bb, declar\u00f3 Bolsonaro en agosto en el Congreso Nacional.<\/span><\/p>\n

Los n\u00fameros de la encuesta de Bolsonaro aumentaron luego de ser apu\u00f1alado durante un evento de campa\u00f1a el pasado 6 de septiembre, despu\u00e9s de lo cual se neg\u00f3 a recibir tratamiento en un hospital \u00e1rabe en el pa\u00eds. No pudo hacer campa\u00f1a ni participar en debates, ya que se someti\u00f3 a cirug\u00edas durante una estad\u00eda de tres semanas en el hospital, pero en cambio llev\u00f3 mensajes directamente a los votantes a trav\u00e9s de Facebook y Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n
