Tras las pol\u00e9micas surgidas por la decisi\u00f3n del presidente paraguayo, Mario Abdo Ben\u00edtez, de revertir el traslado de la embajada de su pa\u00eds a Jerusal\u00e9n, contin\u00faan las consecuencias para las relaciones bilaterales entre los pa\u00edses.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

En un comunicado difundido por la embajada de Israel en Paraguay, que cesar\u00e1 de forma definitiva sus actividades a finales de octubre, se informa que la cooperaci\u00f3n entre los pa\u00edses ser\u00e1 suspendida tambi\u00e9n en aspectos como becas y cursos de capacitaci\u00f3n, proyectos planificados y cursos m\u00f3viles que eran brindados de forma gratuita por la agencia israel\u00ed de desarrollo (MASHAV). Entre ellos, se cancelaron tres cursos m\u00f3viles que hab\u00edan sido confirmados para el tercer cuatrimestre de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, se cancel\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n la entrega anunciada de 270 sillas de ruedas especiales para ni\u00f1os con discapacidades f\u00edsicas y movilidad limitada. Adem\u00e1s, quedaron canceladas hasta nueva consideraci\u00f3n todas las becas otorgadas por el estado de Israel a paraguayos, as\u00ed como la instalaci\u00f3n de dos unidades de desalinizaci\u00f3n de agua, a ser utilizadas para beneficio de las comunidades de la zona del Chaco y un proyecto israel\u00ed para estudiar soluciones para los problemas h\u00eddricos en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Con estas medidas, se aumentan las consecuencias del anuncio del presidente Ben\u00edtez. El mandatario paraguayo decidi\u00f3 anular el traslado de la embajada paraguaya a Jerusal\u00e9n, inaugurada por su antecesor Horacio Cartes.<\/p>\n

El mismo d\u00eda de su decisi\u00f3n, el mandatario israel\u00ed Benjamin Netanyahu anunci\u00f3 el cierre de la embajada israel\u00ed en Paraguay. Durante las siguientes semanas se han anunciado diferentes medidas como la cancelaci\u00f3n de una delegaci\u00f3n de economistas israel\u00edes a Paraguay y el cierre definitivo de la embajada para finales del pr\u00f3ximo mes.<\/p>\n
