La raza ind\u00edgena de caninos de Israel, el perro de Cana\u00e1n, ha vivido en Tierra Santa durante miles de a\u00f1os y todav\u00eda se puede encontrar aqu\u00ed hoy en d\u00eda.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el registro arqueol\u00f3gico, el perro Canaan ha habitado la Tierra de Israel desde hace miles de a\u00f1os, con excavaciones cerca de la ciudad israel\u00ed de Ashkelon que revelan esqueletos de perros de hace mucho tiempo que son anat\u00f3micamente similares a la raza en los tiempos modernos.<\/span><\/p>\n

La raza ha evitado la extinci\u00f3n y ha permanecido en gran parte sin domesticar, pero ha sido puesta en servicio como perros guardianes por los beduinos, los drusos y dem\u00e1s israel\u00edes, manteni\u00e9ndolos como perros guardianes y mascotas.<\/span><\/p>\n
