Un Tribunal de Ir\u00e1n sentenci\u00f3 a 20 a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n a una mujer que se atrevi\u00f3 a quitarse el tradicional velo y publicar fotos en su cuenta de Instagram.<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

El hecho tuvo lugar en la ciudad de Teher\u00e1n. La mujer, Shaparak Shajarizadeh, de 42 a\u00f1os de edad, hab\u00eda colgado su Hijab que cubr\u00eda su rostro sobre un palo y lo salud\u00f3 frente a los transe\u00fantes en se\u00f1al de protesta.<\/p>\n

La hermana de Shaparak public\u00f3 las im\u00e1genes en la red social y escribi\u00f3 que lo hizo debido a que estaba \u201ccansada de tener que usar\u201d esa prenda.<\/p>\n

En su sitio web se comunic\u00f3 que fue arrestada por \u201cresistirse a usar el velo\u201d y \u201cagitar una bandera balanca por la paz\u201den la calle. Funcionarios iran\u00edes no confirmaron esta informaci\u00f3n y la efectivizaci\u00f3n de la prisi\u00f3n de Shaparak Shajarizadeh.<\/p>\n

La mujer fue arrestada luego del incidente en Teher\u00e1n y puesta en libertad bajo fianza el pasado mes de abril. Su ubicaci\u00f3n actual es desconocida.<\/p>\n

La Polic\u00eda de Ir\u00e1n detuvo el \u00faltimo mes de febrero a 29 mujeres por haberse quitado el velo como parte de la campa\u00f1a \u201cMi\u00e9rcoles blancos\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nasreen Sutoda, abogada representante de Shaparak y otras mujeres arrestadas que tambi\u00e9n se quitaron el velo, fue detenida el mes pasado.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la ley de Ir\u00e1n, las mujeres est\u00e1n obligadas a taparse la cabeza y usar prendas largas que cubran brazos y piernas.<\/p>\n

Quien incumpla esta ley puede verse obligado a pagar una multa de unos 25 d\u00f3lares y hasta dos meses de arresto.<\/p>\n

Desde la oposici\u00f3n al gobierno presentaron recientemente una encuesta que revel\u00f3 que solo el 25% de las iran\u00edes visten la tradicional prenda isl\u00e1mica por motu propio.<\/p>\n
