El Servicio de Seguridad General de Israel, las Fuerzas de Defensa y la Polic\u00eda una c\u00e9lula terrorista de Ham\u00e1s inusual por su envergadura y porque operaba en la zona de Nablus, en la Margen Occidental. Los integrantes de esta c\u00e9lula planeaban cometer atentados en centros urbanos, incluyendo en Jerusalem y Tel Aviv.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A pesar de que el grupo pertenec\u00eda a Ham\u00e1s, la primera acusaci\u00f3n formal presentada en el caso atribuye la iniciativa original a un miembro de la organizaci\u00f3n terrorista Jabbat al-Nusra en Siria. En el curso de la investigaci\u00f3n, fueron hallados artefactos explosivos improvisados, incluido uno de alta calidad de 10 kg operado a control remoto, 15 kilogramos de explosivos, y otros elementos para fabricar explosivos e instrucciones para fabricarlos, como as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n armas.<\/p>\n

Esta infraestructura terrorista funcionaba desde octubre del a\u00f1o pasado y los integrantes de la c\u00e9lula \u2013 m\u00e1s de 20 terroristas \u2013 fueron arrestados a fines de abril de este a\u00f1o. La mayor\u00eda de estos terroristas estaban afiliados a Ham\u00e1s y algunos cuentan con un amplio historial de actividades terroristas, incluida la fabricaci\u00f3n de explosivos y bombas.<\/p>\n

Durante la investigaci\u00f3n qued\u00f3 claro que los terroristas ten\u00edan planeado cometer atentados con explosivos en centros de grandes ciudades en Israel, como por ejemplo un atentado con una bomba en Tel Aviv, un atentado suicida en Jerusalem y ataques con disparo de armas de fuego en Judea y Samaria.<\/p>\n

Dichos atentados fueron impedidos y frustrados \u2013 algunos cuando ya estaban en plena etapa de preparaci\u00f3n \u2013 con la detenci\u00f3n de los integrantes de la c\u00e9lula terrorista.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de la c\u00e9lula principal durante la investigaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n fueron descubiertas otras c\u00e9lulas de Ham\u00e1s, que planeaban llevar a cabo actividades terroristas. Al frente de esta infraestructura se encontraban dos agentes de Ham\u00e1s de Nablus que reclutaron a los dem\u00e1s terroristas y se encargaron tambi\u00e9n de planear los ataques y fabricar los explosivos.<\/p>\n
