Esta es una semana muy simb\u00f3lica. Que marca la transici\u00f3n entre dos hitos hist\u00f3ricos important\u00edsimos, diametralmente opuestos, que afectaron y cambiaron profundamente al pueblo jud\u00edo.<\/p>\n

Por un lado, este martes conmemoramos Yom HaShoa, el d\u00eda del Holocausto, y por otro lado, este pr\u00f3ximo mi\u00e9rcoles, celebraremos Yom ha’Atzmaut, el d\u00eda de la Independencia de Israel.<\/p>\n

Los jud\u00edos hemos sufrido incontables persecuciones, matanzas y progroms. En todas las tierras y en todos los tiempos. Pero nunca vivimos algo tan siniestro como la Shoah. Tanto en t\u00e9rminos absolutos como relativos, nunca hubo una matanza tan devastadora de jud\u00edos como la ocurrida en Europa entre 1940 y 1945. Recordemos cuando cuando ya nadie se atrev\u00eda a oponerse al Tercer Reich, como se ve claramente en la pel\u00edcula The Darkest Hour (Las horas m\u00e1s oscuras) , de Winston Churchill. O cuando los Nazis exterminaron a medio mill\u00f3n de jud\u00edos de la comunidad H\u00fangara en solo 6 meses. O cuando Erwin Rommel estaba preparando las c\u00e1maras de gas en T\u00fanez para transportar all\u00ed y gasear a todos los jud\u00edos del Norte de Africa, Palestina, Siria, ir\u00e1n e Irak.<\/p>\n

Nunca el pueblo jud\u00edo percibi\u00f3 que su final estaba tan cerca. Nunca perdimos tanto la esperanza y sentimos que est\u00e1bamos ya irremediablemente condenados a morir. O ya muertos. Hab\u00eda llegado el final.<\/p>\n

Y entonces, en solo 3 a\u00f1os, que en t\u00e9rminos de la milenaria historia jud\u00eda es menos que un abrir y cerrar de ojos, el gran milagro que la Tor\u00e1 (Debarim 30) y todos nuestros profetas hab\u00edan prometido hace tanto tiempo atr\u00e1s, finalmente ocurri\u00f3. Comenz\u00f3 el KIBBUTS GALUYOT, el regreso del pueblo de Israel a nuestra tierra. HaShem, literalmente, abri\u00f3 nuestras tumbas, nos sac\u00f3 desde abajo de la tierra y nos trajo de regreso a la hermosa tierra a Israel.<\/p>\n

Hace mucho tiempo, m\u00e1s de 2500 a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s, el profeta Ezequiel (Yejezquel) tuvo una vision prof\u00e9tica (nebu\u00e1) muy especial. En esta visi\u00f3n (Capitulo 37) HaShem transport\u00f3 a Yejezquel a un valle. Y en ese valle hab\u00eda huesos. Muchos huesos. Huesos humanos. Huesos secos. No hay nada m\u00e1s muerto que un hueso seco. Ezequiel lo vio y no dijo nada. Y entonces, en esa visi\u00f3n, HaShem le dijo a Ezequiel: \u00abHijo del hombre: \u00bfCrees tu que estos huesos podr\u00e1n volver a la vida?. Y Ezequiel, en una combinaci\u00f3n de humildad, sorpresa y sentido com\u00fan respondi\u00f3 \u00abHaShem, s\u00f3lo T\u00fa puedes saberlo\u00bb<\/p>\n

Y entonces hubo un ruido ensordecedor. Y los huesos empezaron a moverse. Se juntaron con otros huesos y formaron esqueletos. Y los esqueletos se revistieron de venas, nervios y carne. Y finalmente se cubrieron de piel. Ahora ya no eran huesos sino cuerpos humanos. Pero sin vida. Cad\u00e1veres. Y entonces HaShem le dijo a Ezequiel: \u00abProfetiza para que a estos cuerpos les llegue vida …. que se introduzca en estos cuerpos y que vuelvan a vivir.\u00bb Y as\u00ed fue. \u00abY un h\u00e1lito de vida ingres\u00f3 en esos cuerpos y se pusieron de pie.<\/p>\n

Era un gran ejercito, muy numeroso\u00bb. Y entonces HaShem le dijo al profeta Ezequiel: \u00abHijo del hombre, estos huesos son la casa de Israel. Ellos dicen: ‘nuestros huesos se han secado, se ha perdido nuestra esperanza, hemos sido condenados [a desaparecer].’ Por eso, quiero que profetices y les digas [al pueblo de Israel]: as\u00ed dice HaShem, Dios, he aqu\u00ed que Yo abrir\u00e9 vuestras tumbas, y los levantar\u00e9 de vuestras tumbas y los llevar\u00e9 a la tierra de Israel…<\/p>\n

Es imposible no conectar esta intensa profec\u00eda con 1945 y 1948.<\/p>\n

En 1945 est\u00e1bamos condenados a desaparecer. Eramos huesos secos, o quiz\u00e1s peor, cenizas. Y entonces, cuando ya todos pensaban que hab\u00edamos desaparecido, que ya nunca m\u00e1s volver\u00edamos a ser un pueblo, que todas las milenarias profec\u00edas nunca se cumplir\u00edan, ocurri\u00f3 el milagro m\u00e1s grande: HaShem abri\u00f3 nuestras tumbas, nos levant\u00f3 y nos devolvi\u00f3 la vida.<\/p>\n

Pero all\u00ed no termin\u00f3 Su misi\u00f3n: luego ocurri\u00f3 lo inconcebible, aquello que nadie se hubiese atrevido a anticipar o incluso so\u00f1ar. HaShem cumpli\u00f3 lo que nos prometi\u00f3: Regresamos a nuestra tierra, y establecimos el Estado de Israel, tal como Ezequiel lo hab\u00eda profetizado: \u00aby cuando abra vuestras tumbas, y los saque de ellas, pueblo M\u00edo, y los conduzca a vuestra tierra, sabr\u00e1n que Yo, HaShem, he dicho [=he prometido] y he cumplido\u00bb.<\/p>\n
