El diputado \u00e1rabe israel\u00ed Basel Ghattas, de la L\u00edsta (\u00c1rabe) Conjunta, ir\u00e1 dos a\u00f1os a prisi\u00f3n por entregar tel\u00e9fonos celulares a terroristas palestinos presos, seg\u00fan un acuerdo alcanzado con la Fiscal\u00eda.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ghattas fue filmando entregando ilegalmente los tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles y las tarjetas inteligentes SIM, a los presos condenados por terrorismo, en una prisi\u00f3n israel\u00ed. El parlamentario fue acusado, en enero pasado, de transmitir ilegalmente documentos y dispositivos de comunicaci\u00f3n en la prisi\u00f3n, para objetivos de terrorismo, fraude agravado y abuso de confianza como un empleado p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n

Tras el acuerdo con la Fiscal\u00eda, se le retira el cargo de fraude agravado de la nueva acusaci\u00f3n. En el marco del acuerdo, Ghattas acept\u00f3 declararse culpable y renunciar\u00e1 de inmediato al Parlamento (Kn\u00e9set).<\/p>\n

Tras los dos a\u00f1os de c\u00e1rcel, Gatthas ser\u00e1 puesto bajo el r\u00e9gimen de libertad condicional que ser\u00e1 determinado por la corte. La Fiscal\u00eda tambi\u00e9n le pedir\u00e1 al tribunal que le aplique una multa por un monto que no ha sido determinado y se la a\u00f1ada la clausula agravante de bajeza moral a la condena, que reflejar\u00e1 la gravedad del delito y le impedir\u00e1 volver a la pol\u00edtica o a un cargo p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n

Una Comisi\u00f3n del Parlamento le hab\u00eda quitado a Ghattas su inmunidad parlamentaria en diciembre a pedido del fiscal general del Estado.<\/p>\n

Ghattas hab\u00eda aprovechado su inmunidad parlamentaria para introducir, el 20 de diciembre pasado, en la c\u00e1rcel de Ktziot, 16 tarjetas SIM, doce tel\u00e9fonos celulares y documentos.<\/p>\n

El parlamentario entreg\u00f3 cuatro sobres a dos terroristas palestinos presos, condenados por delitos contra la seguridad del Estado.<\/p>\n

Agentes de inteligencia del servicio penitenciario y la polic\u00eda obtuvieron informaci\u00f3n previa al hecho y las c\u00e1maras de la c\u00e1rcel grabaron a Ghattas entregando los sobres.<\/p>\n

Los diputados tienen la prerrogativa de visitar a los presos de forma completamente libre dentro de sus facultades parlamentarias, para poder supervisar que se respetan los derechos de los reclusos.<\/p>\n

En su momento, el diputado \u00e1rabe neg\u00f3 terminantemente que hubiera entregado el material. Luego, al ser confrontado con el video argument\u00f3 que lo hab\u00eda hecho por \u201crazones humanitarias\u201d.<\/p>\n
