La polic\u00eda de la ciudad de Nueva York inform\u00f3 que los cr\u00edmenes de odio antisemita aumentaron un 94 por ciento en comparaci\u00f3n con febrero de 2016, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 Robert Boyce, el jefe de los detectives.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Boyce explic\u00f3 durante una conferencia de prensa que ese significativo aumento eleva el n\u00famero de cr\u00edmenes de odio de toda la ciudad, pero que cree que es parte de una situaci\u00f3n que se produce en todo el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Una ola de amenazas de bomba dirigidas a centros comunitarios jud\u00edos dej\u00f3 a miles de personas inquietas desde el inicio de 2017, abarcando diversos Estados, entre los que se encuentra el de Nueva York.<\/p>\n

Por ejemplo, en Plainview, una aldea en el condado de Nassau, 400 personas, entre ellas 200 ni\u00f1os en edad preescolar, se vieron obligadas a abandonar el edificio comunitario.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Bill de Blasio, alcalde de la ciudad de Nueva York, consider\u00f3 que el departamento (de polic\u00eda) recibi\u00f3 varias amenazas antisemitas \u00abmuy preocupantes\u00bb, pero es \u00abmuy centrado\u00bb en la evaluaci\u00f3n de cada una y toma las medidas adecuadas cuando es necesario.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, destac\u00f3 que el \u00abclima de odio\u00bb est\u00e1 dando lugar a actos m\u00e1s generalizados de discriminaci\u00f3n. \u201cUna atm\u00f3sfera de odio se ha fomentado en los \u00faltimos meses en los Estados Unidos y tenemos que detenerla. No vamos a aceptar el antisemitismo en este pa\u00eds, pero el trasfondo es preocupante\u201d, subray\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, Carlos G\u00f3mez, jefe del departamento de polic\u00eda de Nueva York, sostuvo que para combatir el aumento de los cr\u00edmenes de odio, la presencia policial se ha incrementado en los centros y lugares de culto y habr\u00e1 un aumento en la seguridad durante las vacaciones de Pascua, como una precauci\u00f3n adicional.<\/p>\n
