El sistema de defensa antimisiles C\u00fapula de Hierro intercept\u00f3 tres cohetes lanzados contra la ciudad de Eilat. Un cuarto cohete cay\u00f3 en un \u00e1rea abierta de la zona, seg\u00fan anunci\u00f3 el portavoz del Ej\u00e9rcito de Defensa de Israel.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

El cuarto cohete no fue derribado por la bater\u00eda antimisiles debido a que el sistema calcul\u00f3 que se dirig\u00eda hacia un\u00a0 espacio abierto, puntualiz\u00f3 el portavoz militar.<\/p>\n

No se registraron heridos ni da\u00f1os materiales. Sin embargo, funcionarios municipales dijeron tres personas fueron atendidas en estado de shock. Una de ellas fue evacuada a un hospital.<\/p>\n

Los cohetes fueron disparados desde la pen\u00ednsula del Sina\u00ed, en Egipto, seg\u00fan las fuentes castrenses.<\/p>\n

La organizaci\u00f3n Wilayat Sina, afiliada al Estado Isl\u00e1mico (anteriormente conocida como Ansar Bait al Maqdis) y que combate a las fuerzas egipcias en la pen\u00ednsula, se adjudic\u00f3 el ataque.<\/p>\n

Fragmentos de uno de los cohetes fueron encontrados en la pileta de un hotel seg\u00fan fotograf\u00edas aparecidas en los medios sociales.<\/p>\n

Los habitantes relataron que escucharon las sirenas, y luego fuertes explosiones.<\/p>\n

Tras la intercepci\u00f3n de los cohetes, el jefe del Comando Sur, general Eyal Zamir, le dijo al intendente de la ciudad Meir Itzhak Halevi, que la urbe pod\u00eda retornar a la normalidad.<\/p>\n

Eilat es una ciudad balnearia del Mar Rojo, frecuentada por turistas europeos, y en este momento su capacidad hotelera est\u00e1 plenamente cubierta.<\/p>\n

El \u00faltimo cohete contra Eilat, disparado desde la pen\u00ednsula de Sina\u00ed fue lanzado en 2014, durante la guerra entre Ham\u00e1s e Israel en la Franja de Gaza. En ese entonces, dos proyectiles cayeron en la ciudad haciendo impacto sobre un veh\u00edculo y provocando heridas leves a siete personas.<\/p>\n
