El cabo Viacheslav Gregory, de 20 a\u00f1os, oriundo de la ciudad de Rishon Letz\u00edon, t\u00e9cnico de la Fuerza de Tecnolog\u00eda y Mantenimiento del Ej\u00e9rcito de Defensa de Israel (Tz\u00e1hal), falleci\u00f3 mientras realizaba trabajos de rutina en un veh\u00edculo de combate de infanter\u00eda pesado (Nagmash) de tipo Namer en la base El Poran en las Alturas del Gol\u00e1n. El incidente tuvo lugar durante unos ejercicios de entrenamiento del Batall\u00f3n 51 de la Brigada Golani.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Por razones que a\u00fan est\u00e1 investigando la Polic\u00eda Militar, el cabo Gregory recibi\u00f3 un golpe de objeto duro de acero en la parte superior de su cuerpo, durante un trabajo t\u00e9cnico de rutina en la oruga del veh\u00edculo. Fue atendido por sus camaradas y por una fuerza de m\u00e9dicos del ej\u00e9rcito y evacuado en helic\u00f3ptero al Hospital Rambam de Haifa, donde se decret\u00f3 su fallecimiento.<\/p>\n

El jefe de la Comandancia Norte, general Aviv Kochavi, orden\u00f3 la conformaci\u00f3n de una comisi\u00f3n investigadora encabezada por el comandante de la Brigada \u201cCarmeli\u201d, coronel Pini Yosef, para investigar las causas del accidente.<\/p>\n

El Namer (Leopardo) fue introducido en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en el Ej\u00e9rcito de Defensa de Israel, y es considerado uno de los veh\u00edculos de combates de infanter\u00eda m\u00e1s avanzados y mejor blindados que tienen actualmente las fuerzas armadas.<\/p>\n
