Una iniciativa israel\u00ed de financiamiento colectivo llamada \u201cThe Syrians on the Fences\u201d, que tiene como objetivo recaudar dinero para ayudar a los ni\u00f1os sirios desplazados, fue publicada en el sitio de crowdfunding \u201cMimoona\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Hasta el domingo por la ma\u00f1ana, hab\u00eda recaudado 436.000 shekels (113.000 d\u00f3lares) de m\u00e1s de 2.600 participantes. El objetivo es, finalmente, recaudar 600.000 shekels, que ser\u00e1n utilizados para comprar medicamentos y mantas para ni\u00f1os sirios y transmitirlos a trav\u00e9s de la frontera entre Israel y Siria.<\/p>\n

La campa\u00f1a es la creaci\u00f3n de Shibi Froman, un hombre de negocios israel\u00ed del asentamiento de Tekoa, cuyo difunto padre era conocido por buscar la paz con los l\u00edderes \u00e1rabes. En octubre, durante los d\u00edas festivos \u2013 los diez d\u00edas entre Rosh Hashan\u00e1 y Yom Kipur, dedicados en la tradici\u00f3n jud\u00eda a la oraci\u00f3n y la expiaci\u00f3n \u2013 el Sr. Froman decidi\u00f3 orar por Siria.<\/p>\n

Durante su oraci\u00f3n, Froman tuvo una fuerte sensaci\u00f3n de que ten\u00eda que hacer m\u00e1s: public\u00f3 una llamada en Facebook para una oraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica por el pueblo de Alepo y 1.500 israel\u00edes -jud\u00edos, cristianos y musulmanes- respondieron. La oraci\u00f3n de masas tuvo lugar en Yom Kipur, en nueve lugares diferentes de Israel, entre ellos 300 personas que hicieron sonar el shofar (cuerno de carnero) en la frontera entre Israel y Siria. Una red de activistas surgi\u00f3 una vez que las oraciones hab\u00edan terminado, empezaron a pensar la iniciativa.<\/p>\n

Froman concibi\u00f3 la campa\u00f1a en colaboraci\u00f3n con Gal Lusky, experta en rescate y fundadora de la organizaci\u00f3n no gubernamental israel\u00ed \u201cIsrael Flying Aid\u201d, que proporciona rescate y socorro a las zonas afectadas por la guerra o los desastres naturales, generalmente en pa\u00edses que no tienen relaciones diplom\u00e1ticas con Israel.<\/p>\n

La Sra. \nLa mayor\u00eda de los fondos provienen generalmente de donantes ricos, pero en este caso, ella adivin\u00f3 \u2013 con raz\u00f3n \u2013 que los israel\u00edes comunes tambi\u00e9n estar\u00edan dispuestos a contribuir.<\/p>\n
