Ilai Nir, el ni\u00f1o de diez a\u00f1os, que result\u00f3 gravemente herido al caer de un acantilado en el arroyo Tzeelim, durante una excursi\u00f3n en el desierto del Negev, falleci\u00f3 en el Hospital Soroka de Beer Sheva.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Su padre, el doctor Omri Nir, intent\u00f3 salvarlo envolviendo a su hijo con su cuerpo mientras ambos ca\u00edan al vac\u00edo, absorbiendo la mayor parte del impacto. Omri Nir, un investigador de grupos \u00e9tnicos de Oriente Medio y de la historia moderna del L\u00edbano en la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusal\u00e9n, falleci\u00f3 de inmediato. Estaba casado y era padre de tres hijos, incluyendo a Ilai.<\/p>\n

Los m\u00e9dicos declararon el fallecimiento de Ilai tras agravarse su situaci\u00f3n. La madre resolvi\u00f3 donar sus \u00f3rganos. Ambos, padre e hijo, ser\u00e1n enterrados juntos el lunes.<\/p>\n

El hospital anunci\u00f3 que Ilai sufri\u00f3 heridas en m\u00faltiples sistemas, incluyendo un traumatismo de cr\u00e1neo muy grave. \u201cDurante el fin de semana, un equipo multidisciplinario hizo esfuerzos para estabilizar su condici\u00f3n; pero, por desgracia, su estado se deterior\u00f3 hasta el punto de un da\u00f1o cerebral irreversible. Tras deteriorarse a\u00fan m\u00e1s su estado; los m\u00e9dicos se vieron obligados pronunciar su deceso\u201d.<\/p>\n
