La Tor\u00e1 no menciona las razones del Shofar, pero nuestros rabinos s\u00ed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. El Shofar se utilizaba en el antiguo Israel para anunciar la coronaci\u00f3n del Rey. En Rosh HaShan\u00e1 anunciamos que Hashem es nuestro Rey. Declaramos que somos Sus sujetos y como tal estamos comprometidos a cumplir Sus reglas. Entre otras prerrogativas del rey ten\u00eda el poder de condenar a muerte o perdonar la vida de alguien. En Rosh Hashan\u00e1 nos damos cuenta de que nuestras vidas est\u00e1n en \u00faltima instancia en las manos de Dios, el supremo Rey y Juez.<\/p>\n<p>2. El Shofar nos recuerda aqedat Yitzhaq. Abraham Abinu estaba dispuesto a sacrificar a su propio hijo, siguiendo el mandamiento de Dios. Una vez que Abraham demostr\u00f3 su obediencia incondicional y su amor a Dios, HaShem le dijo que se detenga. Abraham vio un carnero enredado por los cuernos en un matorral y se lo ofreci\u00f3 como un sacrificio a HaShem en lugar de Yitzhaq. El Shofar es un cuerno de carnero. Y al escuchar el Shofar recordamos el sacrificio de Yitzhaq. Y le pedimos HaShem que considere lo que hizo nuestro padre Abraham como un m\u00e9rito para todos nosotros, sus descendientes.<\/p>\n<p>3. En la antig\u00fcedad, el Shofar se utilizaba tambi\u00e9n como una especie de una sirena. Para advertir que el enemigo se acercaba y estaba a punto de atacar. Escuchar el Shofar significaba que las vidas estaban en peligro. Y en ese momento, todos recuperaban la conciencia acerca\u00a0 de la inminencia de la muerte. En Rosh HaShan\u00e1 el Shofar sirve como una sirena espiritual. Nos recuerda la fragilidad de nuestras vidas y nos invita a la introspecci\u00f3n y al arrepentimiento. El Shofar declara que en este d\u00eda HaShem nos est\u00e1 juzgando, y nuestras vidas est\u00e1n en juego.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 debemos hacer al escuchar el Shofar?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cada d\u00eda tenemos muchas oportunidades para pedirle a HaShem que nos proporcione lo que necesitamos. Durante los d\u00edas de semana, tres veces al d\u00eda, recitamos la Amida. De las diecinueve bendiciones de la Amid\u00e1, trece se enfocan en nuestras necesidades: Pedimos a Dios\u00a0 buena salud, los medios de subsistencia, protecci\u00f3n, etc. Durante Shabbat y Jaguim, al abrir la hekhal, tambi\u00e9n le pedimos a HaShem que nos conceda nuestras necesidades. Ahora bien, cuando escuchamos el Shofar en Rosh Hashan\u00e1, debemos seguir pidiendo a Dios m\u00e1s cosas? Es el Shofar una extensi\u00f3n de nuestra propia voz solicitando a Dios en voz alta todo lo que queremos para el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o? No obstante lo que la mayor\u00eda piensa, al escuchar el Shofar no debemos concentrarnos en \u00abpedirle\u00bb a Dios. Cuando suena el Shofar en realidad es el \u00fanico momento del a\u00f1o \u00a1en el que HaShem pide algo de nosotros!<\/p>\n<p>La voz del Shofar debe entenderse como un llamado de atenci\u00f3n \u00abDivino\u00bb. Cuando suena el Shofar debemos recordar que HaShem es nuestro Rey (malkenu) y que le debemos obediencia. En ese momento solemne debemos admitir nuestros errores en nuestro coraz\u00f3n, arrepentirnos y aprender para el futuro. Cuando suena el Shofar nos declaramos responsables ante Dios.
