Csan\u00e1d Szegedi, un hombre de 34 a\u00f1os que fue eurodiputado por el partido de extrema derecha h\u00fangaro Jobbik, decidi\u00f3 hacer ali\u00e1 con su familia tras descubrir, en el a\u00f1o 2012, que es jud\u00edo. Ahora busca combatir al antisemitismo, seg\u00fan lo que anunci\u00f3 en una conferencia organizada por la Organizaci\u00f3n Sionista Mundial en Budapest.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Szegedi fue cofundador de la Guardia H\u00fangara, un grupo nacionalista cuyos miembros se cre\u00edan descendientes del fascista partido Cruz de Flecha, el cual colabor\u00f3 con los nazis durante la Sho\u00e1, e inclus\u00f3 lleg\u00f3 a ser vicepresidente del Jobbik, un partido de corte antisemita.<\/p>\n

Todo cambi\u00f3 cuando se enter\u00f3 que sus abuelos maternos eran jud\u00edos: ella hab\u00eda sobrevivido a Auschwitz y \u00e9l estuvo en campos de trabajos forzados. Inmediatamente, Szegedi renunci\u00f3 a todos sus cargos en Jobbik, comenz\u00f3 a aprender juda\u00edsmo, respetar el Shabat y la cashrut e ir a la sinagoga, adem\u00e1s de convertirse en un activista contra el antisemitismo en Europa.<\/p>\n
