El presidente de la Autoridad Palestina (AP), Mahmud Abbas, (conocido tambi\u00e9n como Abu Mazen) sirvi\u00f3 como agente del servicio secreto sovi\u00e9tico KGB en Siria, revela un reporte del Canal 1 de la televisi\u00f3n.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

El corresponsal Oren Nahari revel\u00f3 documentos que fueron tra\u00eddos a Occidente por el desertor de la KGB, Vasily Mitrokhin, archivista del servicio de inteligencia extranjera de la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica. Los documentos fueron sacados a la luz recientemente con fines de investigaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan los documentos, Mahmud Abb\u00e1s, es identificado en 1983 como un agente de la KGB, bajo el nombre clave de Krotov. En aquel momento, tambi\u00e9n se desempe\u00f1aba como miembro del Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo de Fatah, mientras viv\u00eda en Damasco.<\/p>\n

El corresponsal del Canal 1 dijo que un alto oficial de la comunidad de inteligencia internacional considera que los documentos suministrados por el desertor Vasily Mitrokhin son altamente confiables y ayudaron a descubrir a cientos de esp\u00edas.<\/p>\n

No est\u00e1 claro si Abb\u00e1s fue esp\u00eda de la KGB antes o despu\u00e9s de la fecha se\u00f1alada por el documento.<\/p>\n

Abbas realiz\u00f3 su doctorado en la Universidad Patrice Lumumba de Mosc\u00fa y present\u00f3 para su disertaci\u00f3n una teor\u00eda conspirativa sobre el Holocausto.<\/p>\n
