El Alcalde de Nazaret dice Abbas le ofreci\u00f3 poder pol\u00edtico en su ciudad predominantemente \u00e1rabe a cambio de apoyar partido pol\u00edtico \u00e1rabe de Israel.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

El presidente de la Autoridad Palestina\u00a0Mahmoud Abbas se entrometi\u00f3 activamente en las elecciones a la Kn\u00e9set de 2015 en un esfuerzo por\u00a0desbancar al primer ministro Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a>, seg\u00fan el Alcalde de Nazareth Ali Salam.<\/p>\n

Salam dijo que el d\u00eda de las elecciones, el 17 de Marzo de 2015, Abbas lo llam\u00f3 y le tent\u00f3 para reforzar la participaci\u00f3n en su ciudad, la ciudad \u00e1rabe m\u00e1s grande de Israel, con la esperanza de que esto se tradujera en m\u00e1s votos para los partidos \u00e1rabes, que se unieron entre s\u00ed para formar la Lista \u00e1rabe conjunta.<\/p>\n

Salam confirm\u00f3 que trabaj\u00f3 duro para reforzar la participaci\u00f3n de ese d\u00eda y que sus esfuerzos dieron resultado. La participaci\u00f3n electoral se dispar\u00f3<\/a> del 20 por ciento al mediod\u00eda al 90 por ciento en la noche.<\/p>\n

El mi\u00e9rcoles, la\u00a0<\/span>Radio<\/span><\/em>\u00a0Israel<\/em> entrevist\u00f3 a Muhammad Al-Madani, un alto funcionario palestino y un estrecho colaborador de Abbas, cuya posici\u00f3n implica el mantenimiento de los lazos con la sociedad israel\u00ed. <\/span>Al-Madani refut\u00f3 la versi\u00f3n de Salam de los acontecimientos.
