Seg\u00fan el recuento que ha llevado a cabo\u00a0The Washington Post<\/a>, entre el 1 de enero de 2015 y el 16 de julio de 2016 murieron al menos 28.689 personas en 2.109 ataques terroristas. La inmensa mayor\u00eda de ellos se produjeron en Asia, Oriente Medio y \u00c1frica: 2.063; en Europa y Am\u00e9rica se registraron los 46 restantes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n Asia-Oriente Medio-\u00c1frica fue el escenario de las peores matanzas<\/strong>: 300 muertos en el asalto del Estado Isl\u00e1mico a Kobani del 25 de junio de 2015, 292 en el atentado suicida del propio EI en Bagdad el pasado d\u00eda 3 y 224 en la voladura del avi\u00f3n ruso sobre el Sina\u00ed de octubre de 2015, tambi\u00e9n obra del EI. Para el mismo per\u00edodo, el peor ataque en Europa-Am\u00e9rica fue el del EI en Par\u00eds el 15 de noviembre de 2015, que dej\u00f3 130 muertos.<\/p>\n

En promedio, cada atentado en Europa-Am\u00e9rica se cobr\u00f3 la vida de 14 personas<\/strong>; en Asia-Oriente Medio-\u00c1frica la media fue algo inferior: 13,5.<\/p>\n
