Hoy el mundo jud\u00edo ayuna durante el d\u00eda por el 17 de tamuz (fue el s\u00e1bado, pero est\u00e1 prohibido hacerlo en Shabat), en el comienzo de las tres semanas m\u00e1s duras del l\u00faaj (calendario hebreo), que culminan el 9 de av, fecha de la destrucci\u00f3n de ambos Batei Mikdash (Templos de Jerusalem).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

El 17 de tamuz recuerda cinco eventos tr\u00e1gicos que ocurrieron este d\u00eda:<\/p>\n

1. Mois\u00e9s destruy\u00f3 las primeras Tablas de la Ley cuando vio que los Hijos de Israel adoraban un becerro de oro.<\/p>\n

2. Durante el sitio de Jerusalem los jud\u00edos se vieron impedidos de ofrendar el sacrificio diario por falta de ganado.<\/p>\n

3. El soldado Apustmus quem\u00f3 un S\u00e9fer (Libro de la) Tor\u00e1, lo cual gener\u00f3 una revuelta popular que culmin\u00f3 con su ajusticiamiento por orden de los propios romanos.<\/p>\n

4. \u00c9stos colocaron un \u00eddolo en el Templo.<\/p>\n

5. Las murallas de Jerusalem fueron destruidas despu\u00e9s de un largo asedio, en el a\u00f1o 70; los jud\u00edos resistir\u00edan 21 d\u00edas m\u00e1s, hasta la destrucci\u00f3n del Segundo Beit Hamikdash.<\/p>\n

El Talmud jerosolimitano sostiene que tambi\u00e9n en esta fecha los babilonios demolieron los muros camino a aniquilar el Primero.<\/p>\n

Bein Hametzarim<\/strong><\/p>\n

Las tres semanas que van entre el 17 de tamuz y el 9 de av se denominan Bein Hametzarim (Entre las Estrecheces), tal como surge de Eij\u00e1 (Lamentaciones), y la costumbre del duelo, del profeta Daniel.<\/p>\n

Los jajamim (sabios talm\u00fadicos) explicaron que muchas calamidades le sucedieron al pueblo jud\u00edo en este per\u00edodo, durante el cual est\u00e1 prohibido casarse u organizar eventos festivos, cortarse el pelo, estrenar ropa y cuanto menos limitar la pr\u00e1ctica de actividades placenteras.<\/p>\n
